I have it so nice in this way, I do electrical work. One of my brothers is a carpenter, and the other does metal working. Good welder too he is.
I just need to make sure the last of my siblings does something usefull like that. Maybe something into plumbing or car mechanic. I studied "informatics" in school.
Basically programming, electronics, networking and computer systems, fundamentals of operating systems, the lot.
It was certainly helpful to have solid bases when I started, but I'm sure someone could do without if he was dedicated.
I've seen it happen.
They had me train an intern that had no coding experience but seemed promising, and after 2 or 3 months he was better than half the fucktards in the office.
