I think as far as the future of the US is concerned it doesn't make the slightest difference who ends up in the Big Chair, but as far as the actual candidates are concerned for some reason I see Trump as less likely to misuse the power and prestige of presidency for his own nefarious purposes as opposed to say Hillary who's a straight up Bond villain.

Hillary is the puppet for the democratic party and will just be a continuing of Obama since she worked with him for awhile and Obama is also a party puppet.

Bernie would be the one that would either not get anything done or abuse his executive powers to get his plans done. No Republican would support his plans and the same goes for a fair share of the more moderate Democratic members of Congress.

The biggest issue with this election in my mind is the potential for the next president to instate 2 or more Supreme Court justices during their term(s). If Bernie/Shillary make it in, we end up with progressive court members who won't follow the constitution closely at all. If Trump makes it in, we end up with Constitutionalists (first choice may even be Ted Cruz) who won't abuse their position to further a political agenda.
