Dunno man, it's a crazy phenomenon when you think about it. I've always been careful about what I post online. My younger brothers are the same way. I think it was just how we were raised.
I think it basically just comes down to a lot of people just not giving a fuck at the end of the day. They have no self worth so they don't care about the consequences. Look at cam girls that do amateur porn. They don't think of some stalker obsessing over them and following them through various social media sites because they're not thinking. It's attention whoring, it's money, it's attention, lots of people do it.
