On the "Kasich is an Ohioan" issue, home states is very big and in primaries its considered horrifyingly awful if you lose your home state and an embarrassment in a general election unless its a stronghold for the opposite party.
For example if I was a senator from Virginia (A swing state) and in the primaries I lost Virginia it would be a complete fucking disgrace, if I somehow still won the primaries (if you lose your home state in the primaries it pretty much means you are going to lose) and I lost it again in the general election (its a swing state so this applies for both parties) my political career would be heavily hurt.

Its causing a huge surge in people voting right wing who never cared about politics before. They are seeing how destructive this liberal rhetoric is becoming and voting is seemingly one of the only ways they see to fight back against it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is an extremely important election because I believe we are at a tipping point in this countries history.
