This map shows which party led in voter turnout in the primaries. States that have only held primaries for one party so far are not shaded.

Lightest: 0-15% lead
Light: 15-40% lead (no blue example)
Dark: +40% lead

so what's going on with missouri's delegates? real clear politics says trump gets 25, cruz 5, and nobody else gets any. but missouri has 52 delegates total. what's the deal?

If the GOP fucks him, they will never win a Presidential election again.

pretty nice, thanks for this. I noticed with Florida that Trump alone almost had more votes than shillary did, which is impressive given that he only got 45% of the total whine she got 64%.

If only half of the Cruz/Rubio/Kasich voters show up for Trump, and 100% of Bernie voters show up for Clinton, Trump would still win.

He doesn't even need the cuckservatives to vote for him, not even half, to beat shillary. And I'm sure many of the disillusioned bernie cucks won't even vote, or will vote 3rd party.

Honestly Trump is looking pretty good. If he can manage to even get 1/3 of the republicucks to vote for him, the general election will be a blowout. Biggest problem I see is that they will continue to push the "Trump is Hitler" narrative to scare the left into higher voter turnout for shillary in the general. I guess we'll have to see how the mainstream media will further attempt to denigrate him going forward.

>>
>>67822418
you're discounting the "its mine or its nobody's" effect: a certain percentage of bernie voters -- some say as much as 30% -- are not going to vote for clinton, but are still going to vote... for the republican nominee, against clinton in the general.

this works both ways in ohio: die-hard kasich supporters are probably going to have trump as the nominee, which to them is like clinton is to the bern victims.

so if you shuffle 30% of those 513,549 bernie voters over to the R side, and shuffle 30% of kasich's 956,762 over to the democrat, the result is potentially even more in favor of trump.

513,549 * .3 = 154064.7
956,762 * .3 = 287028.6

154065 + 679266 = 833,331 clinton
287029 + 727585 = 1,014,614 trump

but of course a lot of voters don't get their nominee and just stay home.
>>
>>67824594
wait i'm retarded i added the 30% to the wrong sides. i forgot to make them switch over.

154065 + 727585 = 881650 trump
287029 + 679266 = 966295 clinton

it will be close, actually, and might even flip in clinton's favor.

After messing around with that site, I can see why Kasich is in the race, still. He's angling to get the VP nod. He'll tell whoever (Trump) is the nominee, I can bring you Ohio.

Trump will need Ohio, Florida, Virgina and NC, and one other state to win. Not sure if he'll swing other states.

Not entirely true dude.

33% of Bernie Sanders supporters in a Wall Street Journal/NBC poll said they would not vote for Clinton in a general election. Look it up.

keep in mind that many of sanders' supporters are independents and not democrats anyways. However, that means that Clinton does extremely badly amongst independents which is DISASTROUS in a general election because in the last several years, more and more Americans have abandoned the two party structure to register as independents. Clinton is a disaster. Trump is going to clobber her.

I wouldn't read too much into that. More contentious elections lead to higher voter turnout. Trump stirs people emotions (for and against).

It's not evidence that Republicans will win those states. Those same factors may also draw out larger numbers of Democrats to vote against Trump.

>>
>>67827183
This is 100% true and as I posted above, it is borne out by recent polling:

>>67826123

Keep in mind that the country has always had issues with voter turnout and that young people have issues with turnout in particular. Clinton has no base among young people. Virtually all young Democrats are turning out for Sanders and many will tune out the general election if Hillary gets the nom. In fact, some Sanders supporters will definitely go for Trump if their single-issue is getting Wall Street money out of politics.

>>67827138
This is true but those unfavorables for Clinton are still disastrous, and given that opinion of Trump has improved over time while opinion of Clinton has declined (based on what I've seen from polling), I stand by what I originally stated.

Ohio, Virginia, and PA were within 3%. Again, Romney was despised there. They will go Trump.

He just needs one more - either Wisconsin, Iowa, or Jersey, (all within 5-6%) and it's all over.

Not sure about Cali and NY. They are hardcore liberal states like Texas is to the Republicans. Would be impressive to win New York but let's not count on it.

Also this. Who cares about winning hispanic vote when they are concentrated in states that are predominantly blue? We gotta focus on swing states.

Florida, Ohio, VA, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, NH, Wisconsin, and North Carolina are swing states within 6%.

ALL of these states voted for Obama EXCEPT North Carolina. The rest are incredibly difficult for democrats to win.

NC is the only swing state Hillary has a shot at at stealing while Trump has a chance at 8 states and he only needs to win around 4.

I hope this wasn't on r/S4P

They don't like reality very much over there

ya that one area in Tennessee that went rubio is where all the illegals and rich whites live.
>>
>>67832014

It was /r/politics I think. I made the simple observation that the Hispanic vote isn't the sole fucking determining factor in elections, as some people tend to believe. They're a minority of the electorate and they're mostly concentrated in non-swing states (Texas, California, Arizona, etc.)

Leddit doesn't like reality, period.

I thought Lousiana is very republican only state? ? ?

Nashville is also full of liberal faggots.
>>
>>67832356
LA is Lousiana or Los Angeles

He may legit take New York State. That is why the democrats are afraid .

If they lose new york is ober.

MAKE SOUTH KOREA GLASS AGAIN
>>
>>67832407

Louisiana. It is very Republican.

I'm not sure why the primary turnout was higher for Democrats. Perhaps someone else can explain that. But Louisiana will certainly go red in the general election.
>>
>>67817681
>michigan republican
>lousiana democrat
>virginia republican

This map is pretty fucking flawed
>>
>>67817817
If it wasn't for Atlanta, GA would have been full red. Nuke them please.
>>
>>67831066
DAMN SON

This is basically what Trump looks to have already.

Democrats confirmed for fucked.
>>
>>67829811
And if anti-trump sentiment drives up Hispanic turnout? And if loyal, reliable Republican voters (i.e. ideological conservatives) can't bring themselves to vote for Trump? A lot of that white vote is independents, who went heavily for Romney, but would likely break for Hillary over Trump.

Your theory is based off a lot of speculation that things will turn out in such a way that is ideal for Trump. Remember: Trump just -lost- an election in Ohio, conducted -only- among Republican voters, who are the only group he has any traction with at all. Is it natural in any way to assume that in a larger, broader electorate he would do better?
>>
>>67828831

>go off random voter data

most people don't even vote bro

A republican winning Michigan isn't inconceivable and Virginia is definitely possible.
>>
>>67817817
He's doing well in swing states.

Even Ohio where Trump got 2nd place exceed the amount of votes for Clinton.

Trump doesn't have a chance in Michigan because of Detroit and Michigan's high Muslim population.

Virginia won't go red because NOVA exists.
>>

Yes. Except for maine and nebraska, whoever wins the state wins all its electoral votes. In maine and nebraska, the winner gets like 3 votes and there are one or two districts that may or may not be won by the winner of the state, so there may be an electoral vote or two that go the opposite of the state winner but I don't think that's common
>>
>>67832969
You do have a point but 3 things

1. You used the shittiest possible example for anything, Ohio was won by Kasich purely because he is an Ohioan
2. As you just did, you could make this argument for literally any candidate right now.
3. What the anon you responded to did with turnouts is pretty much guaranteed due to how the primaries and election cycle has shown already, everything else is speculation.
>>
>>67824594
Bernie supporters won't vote period. They all hate Clinton and don't like Trump either. They are all too lazy to vote for someone they don't even like.

Can this meme fucking stop

NY going Republican is like Berlin going AFD
>>

r/politics also isn't very smart.

Don't worry, they will come around.

Leddit is changing slowly.

r/TheDonald is exploding in popularity and r/S4P has started its decline as cucks begin to jump ship

Only a matter of time.
>>
>>67832383

yes but it voted trump per the map
>>
>>67833511
>>67832969
On the "Kasich is an Ohioan" issue, home states is very big and in primaries its considered horrifyingly awful if you lose your home state and an embarrassment in a general election unless its a stronghold for the opposite party.

For example if I was a senator from Virginia (A swing state) and in the primaries I lost Virginia it would be a complete fucking disgrace, if I somehow still won the primaries (if you lose your home state in the primaries it pretty much means you are going to lose) and I lost it again in the general election (its a swing state so this applies for both parties) my political career would be heavily hurt.

Marco's political career is ruined because he lost Florida so heavily.

Original OP from the zero-reply thread here. Thanks a bunch to this OP, I had no idea this was here and now I'm on my phone. I also just received a bunch of requests for access to the Google doc because I'm an idiot and didn't make it public. I will work on that 2008 map, the website I looked offered it. I will also keep posting after each primary. One change: if I change the middle colors to 50%, all it does is make Illinois mid-blue.

This is not what I'm trying to pass as a predictor, I just thought it'd be a cool, objective way to look at it.

>Trump doesn't need to win the Hispanic vote when he is bringing out Republicans and Independents in record numbers.

Republicans yes, in part to vote against him. Independents, no.

>Meanwhile democratic voters are at an all time low. You can bet your ass the black vote isn't gonna be as high as it was in 2012.

More blacks supported HRC in 2008 than BO (who was mostly the youth/liberal vote). I wouldn't underestimate her traction with blacks. See: Bernie Sanders.

>Don't look at the electoral votes.

Why not? There what counts. Obama could have dropped 4 points in every single state in the union and still won the electoral collage. I think you're the one who's not seeing the bigger problem here for ANY Republican.

>Trump will pick these states up and we will make America great

And if he doesn't you'll reconsider your preconceived notions and strongly held beliefs? No you'll just bitch about 'muh liberal media'.
>>
>>67833752

You're right.

I was hating on Nashville for nothing.
>>
>>67820973

a 1,000 likely voter sample has nothing to do with the electoral college.
>>
>>67822418
Not only that, there are plenty of Republicans like myself voting Hillary to spoil Bernie's chances

Hillary my have a numbers advantage but she lacks the enthusiasm advantage
>>
>>67833921

I would have loved to see the same happen to Kasich.

People may have missed it but he is just as evil as Cruz or Rubio. Says the same stupid shit but he barely talks so people don't remember much.

Kasich only won Ohio because Trump got screwed on the ballot. Apparently you had to check Trump's name twice otherwise it didn't count and it defaulted to Kasich or didn't count.

Meanwhile you only had to check Kasich's name once.

If the system was fair, Trump would have already won and the GOP would have fallen in line behind him.

And Cruz can't be President, you need to be a native born American but yet here we are.
>>
>>67825485
>>67825717

Kasich is better suited as secretary of interior or labor. He'll promise him that to get Ohio, if anything.
>>
>>67833395
>Michigan's high Muslim population.

oh right, I forgot 1.5% of the state being Muslim is a high population
>>
>>67834402
He didn't get screwed Kasich literally won because he was an Ohioan government official with very high approval. Nothing more nothing less.
>>
>>67817681
I'm in NC and didn't vote in primaries. I will say I've never voted and neither has anyone in my family. This year everyone in my family said they are voting republican. These last few years of liberals pushing this anti-white bullshit, attempts at censoring everything, and demonizing cops for doing their job is backfiring. Its causing a huge surge in people voting right wing who never cared about politics before. They are seeing how destructive this liberal rhetoric is becoming and voting is seemingly one of the only ways they see to fight back against it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is an extremely important election because I believe we are at a tipping point in this countries history. If Hillary wins, I don't believe there will be any chance at saving this country. We'll go the way of Rome.

Are you serious? LMAO

Republicans will get on board when he wins the nomination and he will win. Hell, they literally are doing so right now. GOP party leaders won't run their own candidate even if they want to.

Romney actually gave Trump momentum
Rubio got stumped so hard he is leaving politics next year
Ryan is scared shitless
Jeb? Anyone see Jeb lately?

They will all come around.

>More blacks supported HRC in 2008 than BO

LMFAO. You are crazy if you think black voters didn't support the black candidate. HOLY SHIT LMAO.

I have no doubt Hillary will win the black vote from Trump but it won't be enough to win the election or the swing states. Sorry.

Come back to reality, Carl.
>>
>>67835566
Not him, but the thing about the electoral college is that state voter turnout doesn't matter. If one person in California votes, his vote is worth 55 electorates. If 500,000 people vote in Wyoming, they are collectively worth 3 electorates.
>>
>>67835566

ignoring that the # of voters is in GOPs favor anyways, ask Al Gore
