For the empire period turks and kurds worked together. Nationalist waves that disturbed balkan regions, armenians and later arabs did not cause tribal kurds that lived in a mountainous region. They even helped with the armenian genocide and independence war.

But in the republican era there were serious uprisings. Though they did not succeed they seriously threatened the newly formed, war-torn and poor state. Through the ww2 era mostly silence, because of
-multi-party regime
-ww2 propaganda
-earlier riot-control hit them hard

With 1960 coup, more democratic era began. There was even a socialist party in the parliament. Kurds began organizing too and this organizations were socialist in nature.

The main problem was the guerilla warfare and emergence of PKK after the 1980 coup. As you can guess nobody likes their soldiers killed by inner forces. PKK used terrorist activities to gain momentum, attacked local schools and killed turkish teachers. Destroyed kurdish villages that collaborated with turkish forces and so on.
I tried to summarize, if you want to read on check this article:
http://88.255.97.25/reserve/resfall14_15/Hist302_Edaloglu/week12_13.pdf

One thing to add, kurds were generally approached with orientalist sentiment in the ottoman era too, but I don't think it was a general sentiment in the public.

>Captain Mohammed Saeed al-Masri, a senior commander of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement was detained by Turkish authorities 5 days ago and taken to an unknown location.

>The detention was most likely sparked by recent dissensions between al-Masri and the notorious Muslim Brotherhood of Syria after ceasing to fund and eventually disband the insurgent group. Turkey’s Erdogan is widely known as the Godfather of the banned Syrian Muslim Brotherhood.

>The main problem was the guerilla warfare and emergence of PKK after the 1980 coup.

That was NOT the main problem. The main problem actually was:

- Forbid the Kurdish language to be spoken in public untill the year 1992.

- Only let parents choose a name for their kid based on a list with only turkish names

-Replace the word 'kurd' with 'mountain turk'

- denyi,g the fact that there are over 20mil Kurds living in people (and say shit like 'Hakkari is 90% arab')

-Shooting propaganda like 'Turkce konus, cok konus', ne mutlu t*rkum diyene, and mobilizing the turkification process of kemal far untill his later dead.

-Do even more propaganda theu media and so on (giving actors playing eastern turkish roles a funny accent)

- ignore the fact of all the happened massacres against kurds (& alawites, assyrians,...)
And so on.....

The Tr government should've realised and asked the question:

>'Wow we are raping the kurds hard dude! I hope they won't take revenge man!'

And that's when the PKK came. And do keep in mind that there's a reason why the second largest NATO army hasn't been able to beat a 10.000 man army armed with rusty AK-47 in a 40 year time period:

It's because over 20 million people are supporting them.

Not only the Kurdish language was forbidden.

>Only let parents choose a name for their kid based on a list with only turkish names
This makes me butthurt since all the nasty crimes are done by Kurds and they have Turkish names.

This was not enforced as far as i know, people only did it because they wanted to fit in and not get racism or something.

>Replace the word 'kurd' with 'mountain turk'

Well, to be fair, they are pretty much that, if you look ar how religious they are. Hell, the Kurdish party had to remove pro lgbt people in hakkari because they chimped out.

>ignore the fact of all the happened massacres against kurds (& alawites, assyrians,...)
Kurds killed assyrians tho. And alawites? Alawites = / = alevis lol, and im pretty sure erdogan apologized for the aleve one. Pretty sure he did the same about the Kurdish ones too, kek.

>'Wow we are raping the kurds hard dude! I hope they won't take revenge man!'
Exactly, they should have either genocided them, or pushed them back syria/iraq.

>why the second largest NATO army hasn't been able to beat a 10.000 man army armed with rusty AK-47 in a 40 year time period:

>Exactly, they should have either genocided them, or pushed them back syria/iraq.
I love how you say 'back' if youd know something about the kurds, it be that iraqi-irani-tr kurds do not understand each other because they each speak another language. There is no 'back' because they didnt come from there.

Also not the case, but most of the people did this because they were afraid to be seen as a non turk :^).

>Hahahahahha spoken like a real turk there!
Im literally saying something negative about Turks, since people wanted to fit in, because the alternative was extreme racism, idiot.

Yeah, thats why the took in a million Kurdish refugees from Syria, and 35 percent of kurds live in west Turkey.

I mean, dont get me wrong, i actually WISH they wouldnt give a single fuck about them, but alas its not the case.

> why half of Kurds vote for erdogan topkek.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_general_election,_November_2015

5 million Kurdish vote, around 15 million kurds in turkey. Considering quiete alot of cuck Turks (my guess would be around 500k) voted for them too. So its around 50, maybe 40.

Reminder that there were 600 thousand Kurds in Turkey in 1923.

There are 15 million today.

Every day the Kurdish threat to Turkey is getting bigger. I wish we fucking Turks would get some fucking brains and start removing your kind already.

There used to be only 1-2 turks, and they didn't shitpost too much. In fact, we used to get quite comfy responses from turks. But after the russian plane got shot down, it's like somebody sprayed the roach nest with the wrong spray and ended up causing them to scatter all over the place, they just started endlessly shitposting. It seems like most of them literally don't know how to post any other way. The few sane turks either stay away or get drowned out.

Most Turks here in Belgium are from mineworkers, who also actually had a minework job in Turkey but came here for much better pay.

Because it was a win win.

>Sickens me to see their children be patriotic nationalists
Should have sent us back. Segregated communities were formed and afterwards you get surprised people dont see themself as Belgian. You might have brain damage.

But i understand you, i have similar feeling to Kurds like you have to Turks. Its actually funny, we are pretty close!

Its pretty funny how you say Turkey handled the Kurds bad, and literally naming up arguments of not assimilating them properly, but then get mad all the time at Turks being shit here, while giving similar pattern at saying they are bad, while using a similar pattern at saying how Kurds are good in Turkey.

Its really hilarious innit? Hypocrite.

Pretty much.

>No you idiotic brainwashed retard. You need to do research on why the guest workers stayed in western eu.
They stayed because multiple reasons and some differ in countries.

The usual reasons are

>leftists who think it was inhumane to send them back
>people who liked the cheap wages the Turks were on and them having no problems with doing the dirty work, thus lobbying to keep them here (my father has long cancer from the mines :DDD)

etc

its not hard, you talk like a child

I am an enlightened western oriented guy who wants to remove religion and unwanted animals (kurds) in his country, and go back to paganism.

I am similar to most people here on 4chan. They want to remove muslims in Europe. I want to remove Kurds in Turkey, thats why i have sympathy for these people, even tho my people are muslims.

There is no crisis in me, im fairly balanced, but i acknowledge alot of Turks in Europe face something like this.

You, you are weak. Try harder next time. I will eat you up alive.

Once upon a time there was a rather benign Syrian dictator. And for a time, it was good.
His country did well for ME standards, it was safe and minorities didn't get hit too hard.
But the so-called western community decided to end his rule.
An uprising was sparked, dubbed "arab spring" and soon the dictator faced annihilation. Parts of the rebel forces soon became fanatic in their religious zeal and formed a quai-nation governed by religious rule. Desperate, the dictator asked a leader of a waning world power for aid. And aid was given to him. The tide of the horrible civil war was turned, and soon both the rebels and the savage zealots started dying in bulk. Beaten and bloodied, the rebels agreed to a ceasefire and soon both the dictator and the ones who wanted to depose him started negotiations under the watchful eye of the same powers that started the rebellion. And for a time, it was good. Now, the waning eastern power decided to withdraw most forces from the dictator's country, as their presence in the region was secured, the dictator's bloodied army was partially restored and the leader of that power wanted to pressure the dictator to finally bring peace to his war-torn country.
What happens next, we will see.

Pic:Picture of today’ ceremony at Hmemem airbase; Russian servicemen received the Syrian-Russian Military Friendship medal before heading to Russia

::::::MORE PERSPECTIVE ON RUSSIAN WITHDRAWAL:::::

RuAF and SyAAF at the beginning of the Russian deployment in Syria were conducting several dozens of airstrikes a day, aimed at al-Nusra, and ISIS terrorist locations.

In the passed 4/5 weeks, RuAF attack bombers were taking off barely loaded due to the changes on the ground. Most of the attack bombers were in place and seldom conducted a mission more than every two to three days.

The Syrian Armed Forces with the aid of the RuAF managed to liberate over 400 points spread on almost 10,000 square km.

In the passed two weeks, after the “Cessation of aggression” agreement was effective, the SyAAF and RuAF lowered down the number of airstrikes and sorties significantly.

During that time, the Russian center operating in Hmemeem airbase (Aka Basel al-Assad airport) was registering, and coordination between the Syrian Nationals who are bearing arms against the Syrian Arab Armed Forces to achieve peace between the Syrians themselves. Which in tern increase the National Reconciliation efforts of the Syrian government, lead by the National Reconciliation ministry.

All that resulted in the understanding that such a large force in Syria is no longer required, therefore the Syrian command and the Russian command reached an agreement to reduce the Russian military presence in Syria; and to consider this reduction as a sign of goodwill of both commands toward the other side, and signal the international committee that Syria, and Russia are only interested in fighting terrorism; and when it comes to the Syrian crisis, the only solution is a peaceful political one, throughout a Syrian-Syrian dialog, with no foreign intervention what so ever.

RuAF in Syria will continue with SyAAF conducting airstrikes on terrorist facilities and locations in Syria.

CONFIRMATION ON DEIR EZZOR:

Army units carried out intensive operations during the past 24 hours targeting ISIS terrorists’ fortifications and hideouts around al-Taim field from the directions of al-Tharda Mountain, the Panorama and the Driving School, located to the south of Deir-Ezzor city.

A source on the ground told SANA that scores of terrorists were killed during the operations, in addition to destroying two vehicles equipped with 23 mm machineguns and a stolen oil tanker on al-Taim field road from the side of al-Shoula village.

The source added that terrorists near the field and the Technical Institute for Oil were hemmed in.

An army unit also targeted a gathering of ISIS terrorists near al-Jazeera University in al-Bogheiliyeh area in the western countryside of the province, destroying a car transporting terrorists.

A pickup truck with a machinegun mounted on it was destroyed along with a mortar launcher and five ISIS terrorists were killed in Hweijet Sakar in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to the source.

During the past two days, army units engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorist groups that launched attacks in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor Airport and in al-Sinaa neighborhood and al-Maqaber Mountain, killing many of their members, including al-Haj Abdullah, Mohammad al-Fadel and Jihad al-Sajer, while the other terrorists fled.

Another pickup truck equipped with a 23 mm cannon belonging to ISIS terrorists was destroyed in al-Hweiqeh neighborhood in Deir Ezzor with a guided missile fired by an army unit.
