The root of the issue isn't one of race or white vs. black; it's about police brutality, which is unacceptable against people of any color. Black people constitute a disproportionately high amount of deaths by cop, but they also commit a disproportionately high amount of crime and therefore are more likely to enter confrontation with police.
If BLM was protesting against police brutality in general rather than pushing for bullshit stopgaps like racial sensitivity training, shit, I might be out there with them. I had a friend growing up whose (white) father was killed unarmed in a domestic dispute call... while said 13-year-old friend was in the house. Cops got off, nothing happened. This shit goes down all the time with people of every creed and color. There was a case in LA recently where two black cops killed an unarmed white man and his autistic son - but of course you probably didn't hear about that, because it doesn't feed the race-driven flames leftist media is intent on stoking these days, and the lives of two white males are of no consequence to BLM.

I would support BLM because there are forms of institutional racism again them. However, the movement thinks its best to protest symptoms of the problem rather than the actual problem. The police aren't causing blacks to live in shit neighborhoods and they aren't intentionally gunning them down. There have statistically been just as many whites shot by police than blacks in 2015 and so far in 2016 as well. BLM need to focus on getting black youth into positive environments and programs to get them higher education and jobs.
