I personally don't hate Sikhs. I think you have to put up with a lot of shit and you clearly get a lot of persecution from muslims. It's something not really widely acknowledged in the mainstream media.
I wish more people would help you as a minority, but because it's a minority that has trouble with another minority, a lot of people won't touch it with a ten foot barge pole.
I get angry seeing proper ignorant bigots confuse Sikhs with muslims and attack you just because of turbans and brown skin.

My girlfriend has a sikh friend. According to the friend, her parents are very strict with the girls but the boys can do whatever they want.
Her parents want her to have an arranged marriage to some indian guy she's never met. Also they're pretty racist; I think this is their preference of who their daughter would marry: indian sikh > indian non sikh > brown person > white person >black person > anyone else > muslim.
Also apparently the men all have white girlfriends on the side as well as their arranged wife.
