"Rods from god" kinetic impactors make way more sense (for ground targets) than an energy weapon. Theoretically the militarisation of space is banned by treaty, but it's questionable if that really means anything given all the spy satellites and ASAT tests that have been going on since the early 60's - http://www.friends-partners.org/partners/mwade/project/asat.htm

Maybe if the impactor was literally just a rod, but AFAIK there's no reason why guidance technology similar to that developed for nuclear missile MIRVs couldn't be fitted to them. In any case a *lot* of energy is involved, they're closer to a tactical nuke than a surgical strike weapon, so the CEP doesn't have to be particularly good.

I think most Finns think they are or at least used to be pretty based with slightly higher journalistic standards than the median, but this current asylum seeker thing highlighted for everyone their biases when something went against their pro-multicultural editorial policy which lead to them flat out lying, selectively omitting parts or doing completely misleading or biased reporting on the subject.

Personally I've been quite careful with them on some other topics as well as the pro-Washington rhetoric they've been pushing out has been noticeably ramping up over the past few years and they've quite harshly attacked against anyone who dared to say otherwise or to point out the factual mistakes they've (intentionally or not) made calling them paid Putin trolls etc.

Well that's a pretty blatant double standard. It seems that press freedom only works as long as it fits a certain need, but then again it happens pretty much everywhere. I guess the best option remains to read upon multiple sources and then just trying to see which is the most realistic one.

>The Amal Movement (or Hope Movement in English, Arabic: حركة أمل Ḥarakat ʾAmal) is a Lebanese political party associated with Lebanon's Shia community. It was founded as the "Movement of the Dispossessed" in 1974. The Amal Movement is, by a small margin, the largest Shia party in parliament, having thirteen representatives to Hezbollah's twelve. To be fair though, I don't think that neither Russia, or NK for that matter, really care about what ranking they get in these sorts of lists. If anything, history has shown again that no matter what they do they will get shat on and demonized in one way or another.
Actually going a bit off topic, how does anyone even know that NK is as shit as the mainstream media portrays them? Isn't it supposed to be secluded as fuck and yet we somehow constantly get all this info about them in mainstream media, mostly negative. Last thing I've heard about NK is that they have solar buses. That's actually pretty fucking cool for a country that's supposedly stuck somewhere in the 80's.

cause this says something different:

And btw, if the programme costs 1,5 trillion and they make a thousand planes that 1,5 billion per plane at least. This is not including production cost and supposing the cost of the programme won't go up anymore

just to give you a jist of how superb this thing really is.

It has 4 more in the bay.

And it's not a video game. Firing at 6 targets in a single mission is more than enough.

This is the top ace in history:

>Hartmann flew 1,404 combat missions during World War II, resulting in 825 engagements and 352 claimed and credited aerial victories against Allied aircraft.

1/4 kill per mission. And that's the greatest ace in history.

Hey, I've been on these threads for quite a while. I don't know where I got it from but my understanding was that the reason the U.S backed the rebels was because of some oil pipe line that Assad refused to do. In terms of just what was going on in Syria, ignoring international factors like oil and how much the USA likes you, Assad started off as the bad guy violently putting down protests. I'm a little confused as to the current situation of all these smaller rebel groups fighting against both Assad and ISIS.
Did they all give up on fighting Assad or is it just the FSA?
>>
>>55933294
>But I heard they did some horrific shit lately. I don't remember what, but is it true?
Have they?

Worst things I've heard recently is the Sunni homes being marked and set on fire after ISIS were cleared out in Sinjar and they found out those sunnis supported ISIS or whatever

There are also claims they've been genociding arabs but that's ok since arabs have been treating the kurds like shit for ages

I didn't know that was supposed to be the entire cost of the programme, but why did it go from 400 billion to 1,5 trillion?
Why was it so low before? 2500 units for 400 billion is dirt cheap....to me it appears the rise in programme cost is not something expected but goes hand in hand with 7 years delay and all the wages to go with it and some "miscalculation of production costs".

The thing is that they will not replace all fighters in US service. It's just the F-16, old F/A-18, A-10 and AV-8B.
F-15SE(I guess), F-22 and F/A-18E/F will still be in service.

The funny thing is that the F-35 criticism is not a first of its kind. People considered F-16 and F-15 to end up being huge failures before they entered service.

Hezbolllah started with a vision of turning lebanon into an islamic country back in 1982.
Then they fought for some years with other lebanese sides during the civil war for about 5 years, they noticed that wouldn't get them anywhere. They then became "The Islamic resistance in Lebanon", focused on rekking israel and they liberated Lebanon on 25th of May 2000. Currently they are allies with many non-islamic parties in Lebanon.
