His position on immigration has always been that if you have welfare services that extend to all including immigrants then uncontrolled immigration and open borders is destructive to the states people. Most libertarians seem to have different views on specific things and immigration is a pretty hot topic in libertarianism, from my anecdotal experiences though I'd say most libertarians agree with Stefan in the sense that state involvement ruins any positive thing immigration could achieve.
