I think human beings kind of convert the universe from ethereal quanta (just physics and mass and whatever moving around) into what we know as the universe. If we weren't here, then nothing would be here, we're not in the center as far as distances go, but we're in the center as far as our own view of the universe goes. Not sure if I explained that the way I mean.
Also (and i'll admit I don't know shit about quantum physics) but taking the 'we summon shit out of quanta by observing it' idea, well, if the earth is a globe, and there's a bigger population on one bit of the globe, doesn't it stand to reason that all those extra people looking up into the sky (or simply that the earth is tilted when the sky gets is darker) means more of the sky has been seen in one direction, giving the universe it's wonky donut shape.

I think much of that is simply distraction conspiracy theory, or whatever. I think this immigration was a failed effort to do a few things on the part of western civilization.
1. Boost the economy in some minor ways by importing cheap labor and replacing current expensive labor force with more inexpensive ones that are thankful for the opportunity
2. Up the general population and birth rates and hopefully have immigrants and their children assimilate within a generation or two.
3. Soften islamic nations by hopefully brain washing over current muslims in western ideals and hopefully slowly having an affect over all to their home lands

I can actually totally understand your mothers mind in that moment. One night me and a few friends were trying out salvia for the first time.
