Not a conspiracy theory but as a kid I got this weird idea that memories and the future are linked and to this day I'm still trying to figure it out. It sounds absurd because it is and I cannot explain it no matter how long or hard I think about it.
The quickest way I can say put it is: We perceive because we remember, and we remember because we will always perceive.
Basically, if this stupid idea of mine turned out to be true then it would not only prove the afterlife but also that our existence is infinite and the universe will always be.
To better understand my idea you need to assume that to someone who loses their memories they are time traveling from their perspective. It's dumb but that's the easiest way to explain it.
With that in mind, lets assume my idea is right but instead of an afterlife we cease to exist upon death. If this were the case then our perception of reality would be nothing. Because upon death we would lose our memories along with everything else this would mean to us we never perceived anything in the first place. Our actions and consequences as humans would still take place, but we wouldn't know it ever happened. 'Us' as we understand it wouldn't be a thing.
Again, this is all nonsense and I know it, but I can't shake the fact that it's true. You know that feeling you get when you forget something and you're just on the edge of remembering it? I've had that feeling for 12 years now. It's like I used to know the answer but it was deemed forbidden knowledge by god or something and now I'll never figure it out.
