have you tried not eating at a "fast food" joint? they have plenty of seafood, spinach, bok choy, chicken, pork, and duck. you just need to know where to look. i just go to a chinese butcher shop and order some good meat and some veggies there. Part of the problem is the Western tendency to devalue their basic workers. If Western cooking was viewed as an honorable profession worthy of a life's dedication, we wouldn't have to eat at foreign shitholes. Burger flipping is obviously worthy of disdain, but we hardly honor our local chefs and line cooks or their professions. Also, the foreigners are more willing to break the rules in order to be more competetive, especially the chinks and gooks, even if it means they're serving shit on a stick.

Bread? Eat more vegetables,fruits, and legumes and whole grains. Eat carrots. broccoli, asparagus, cucumber, apples, any of a hundred types of beans, avocados, lentils, spinach. There's tons of hearty meals that can be made without animal meat. I wouldn't suggest cutting out animal meat entirely though. Farmers used to butcher one chicken a week for home consumption.
