That was yesterday, but i think that the gain of Hadher of Today it was a very hard punch to FSA/Nusra, because it was the bigger town in the area, and it could perfectly a very hard defensive point.
And now, what FSA/Nusra can do now? Save Aleppo? Fight ISIS? Attack Hama? Save Homs pocket? Save Ghouta Pockect? That's why they are losing so quickly.

Second, Israel decisively defeated Hezvallah in 2006 seeing as when the decision in the last week-10 days was made we pushed into Lebanon and quite easily.
Most people shitposting about the 2006 war don't know the first thing about that conflict. Israel deployed only a token (a few thousands) force in Lebanon up till the last week in the 2006 war, it wasn't even called a 'war' here till a year after the conflict.
third, a lot of the skills Hezballah are gaining are in fact irrelevant or detrimental to fighting Israel (not all of them but a lot).
Fighting low skill infantry rebels, with no air support, inferior armament, no intelligence corps, close to no or no nightvision equipment... and I can go on.
They are also getting used to relying on air support and heavy artillery and tank/BMP support, which also wouldn't exist against Israel (some artillery support would, but that's it).
That's one of the reasons Israel performed poorly in 2006, the troops did NOT have time to train because they were deployed all the time.
Many of the troops had a lot of experience in combat, like urban combat in 2002-2004 taking the Palestinian cities in the WB, and fighting urban combat in Gaza.
Difference being it's a different combat experience than what was often needed, especially by the infantry units that had to do forest/mountain fighting.
We should never underestimate our enemies, but you are way over estimating Hezballah.
This is the group that failed to take a town for 2.5 months while enjoying every advantage known to man...

What I'm gathering is that there are non-al-Nusra units pulling from the fighting around Aleppo and turning tail, with some of the fighters defecting to al-Nusra instead of running away.

They were dropped by helicopters landing on the ground or hovering just over the ground, not some paradrop. Neither were they dropped adjustant to the Litani. They direction of movement was mostly South and not north to flank the Hezballah line of defense.
The units that reached the Litani were those that linked to said (reserve) paratroopers. There was armor that reached near the Litani.
The number of troops was escalated because of poor training, no real objectives were set by the leadership when the operation started. This was mirrored by uncertainty in use of force as forces were ordered to take positions and then withdrawn from said positions without reason etc.
clear goals were only set in the last 10 days of the operation. It's true that the haphazard use of the IDF during the initial parts of the operation failed to stop Hezballah firing on our cities (which is the only thing you can call an objective the IDF had, at that first stage) which led to escalation of force.
Israel was surprised by how much Hezballah was willing to escalate this time (the events at the beginning of the operation happened a few times in the past, but Hezballah never escalated the way they did in 2006).
You can see similar Israeli action just last summer, as Israel gave hamas almost 2 weeks to stop shooting with an ultimatum after an ultimatum, till we actually deployed forces.
But once Israel did deploy forces an mass with clear strategical objective, even undertrained as the IDF was back then broke Hezballah line of defense in days
