Je dois t'avouer que plus ça va, et plus je trouve que l'Ancien Régime avait ses bons aspects, en gardant le citoyen lambda et populiste loin des débats importants. Mais j'aimerais quand même croire que la démocratie est possible, et qu'on pourrait arriver à avoir un système qui fonctionne vraiment. J'imaginerais ça comme ça:

La politique en France n'implique de toute façon plus le citoyen lambda. Elle se fait parmi la sphère politico-journaliste, totalement isolée et hermétique au reste des français. Toutes les décisions sont prises au sein de cette sphère, qui n'est juste qu'une aristocratie où les droits du sang ont été remplacés par les droits de l'argent et les trafics d'influence. Les livres de Régine Pernoud, "médiéviste" de référence, constituent de bonnes introductions. Jean Sévillia a écrits plusieurs livres intéressants comparant l'histoire réelle et celle qu'on nous raconte, tel que "Historiquement correct" .
Je crois que ces livres consitueraient une base solide.
Vérifiez les infos ailleurs si vous croyez que ça vous semble invraisemblable, mais depuis que j'ai commencé mes lectures sur l'ancien régime, je ne vois plus grand chose comme avant.
