Mexico is one of the most resource rich places on planet earth and is nothing but desirable beaches and warm sun blasting good soil.
But the people are so retarded and corrupt that I don't think anything can save the place except massive immigration by people that have human range IQs. Maybe it's the native american genetics holding them back, but Mexico should be a powerhouse, especially while sharing a border with the US.

Every single aspect of life in Mexico is deeply rooted in distrust of the government, corruption, and "half assing" things.
By half assing, I don't mean being lazy or not doing your job correctly (though that is a huge problem too, just look at the houses and roads), I mean trying to find answers or fighting justice for once and then giving up halfway through for one reason or another.
A personal example is my aunt who developed cancer.
She had a c-section done when she gave birth to a cousin of mine and the incompetent doctors left gauss and strings INSIDE of her and closed her up.
Years later she found out about it once tumors had developed and cancer spread from her placenta to her chest and stomach.
Instead of suing the hospital (which belongs to the state) she did nothing.
She received cancer treatments but never decided to say anything or fight because it was a state hospital and she said there was no way she could win in court against the state lawyers. She said that there was even a possibility of being killed.
You pretty much have no power or justice in Mexico unless you work for the government.
Combine that with a shitty culture and apathy and a booming drug and weapons market thanks to big brother America, and you get the shihole that is Mexico.

The only way to fix Mexico is to have it split and slowly start from scratch.
Start off by having the edges of the country to become independent and eradicate corruption completely, and then SLOWLY start taking land away from the republic until your revolutionary war has completely replaced the old rulers.
How are you going to be able to fund such an operation. And how are you going to compete with the cartels?
It would not be an all out war, so you'd get the same results that America got in Vietnam and the middle east.

It was the Spanish influence, mate. The Spaniards didn't conquer the New World to live there, they conquered it for resources.
The Brits initially tried doing the same, but eventually more people just went to live there.
It's why America and Canada, when they first emerged as recognizable and distinct civilizations, were white, whilst Mexico is still native brown for the most part.
They tried to into empire with Santa Anna, who was really inspired by Napoleon, but he fucked up massively in his wars with the US.
Their last hope was Porfirio Diaz, who tried in vain to modernize Mexico and could've had an effect there like Franco had in Spain, but the Mexican Revolution fucked that all to hell, and with the tiger let out of his cage Mexico was plunged into almost reckless violence and bloodshed for a decade and ended with over a million Mexicans dead.
So basically, the US was like that kid that grew up to become Chad and had good luck with his parents and where he was born, while Mexico was that kid who was born into that shitty family on the edge of town with the abusive father who was never really able to catch a break.
Mexicans have a don't give a fuck attitude. Everything is half assed, greedy, selfish backstabbers Most don't really care about moving up because being here is "good enough".

I'd argue that it is in fact that only thing that can save Mexico.
Any political system with humans (and that is the only kind you will find on Earth at present) is inevitably flawed, but Fascism is perhaps the best solution for giving Mexico a shot at greatness. It helped Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the better nations of South America. It can't hurt to try, and would certainly no worse than what is going on in Mexico now.
But wasting the rule of law on those who use their very wealth and power to subvert the rule of law is useless, so why bother? They discarded their rights when they subverted the law with bribery and murder, anyway. Exterminating them isn't just the right thing to do, it is a duty.
It´s not that bad here in the north(except for Juarez and Tijuana) life´s pretty decent and calm.

the last hope of Mexico was to piss off America enough during their revolution that we would invade in 1912 or so and set up a puppet government. But all that would've done would be to lead to a socialist-democratic takeover post WW2 and eventually the decline of Mexico. But maybe Baja and one of the border states like Sonora (going off of Vic 2 for names here) would be USA then. Also, possibly a free Yucatan or Maya. Dunno, it's a shame really that they've gone to shit, a lot of it is our fault with the war on drugs and deporting gang members from US prisons back to Salvador, etc who then move up through Mexico to fuck things up. Mexico is really fucked by the shittier CA states; Mexico has at least as many illegals flowing through as us.
