How the actual fuck does IS plan to establish such a sizable caliphate? It would be a logistical nightmare to militarily enforce Sharia Law upon half of Africa and the entire Middle East. Furthermore, if their plan is to convert the entire world to Islam, how exactly do they intend to do that? Are they going to Invade Russia, China, Europe, and the United States? That would take several decades and even more miracles to accomplish. If they did, however, convert the world to Islam, how do they expect to deal with the racial and cultural differences that will inevitably create more divisions within Islam? Is their plan contingent on propaganda? If so, how do they expect to defeat all other media syndicates?

I don't think the leadership seriously intends for their plan to ever succeed. It almost as if it's like a guy who's about to die from cancer in 1 year, so he decides to fuck as many girls as he wants, snort as much drugs, drink as much liquor and live out his short existence in style. Because supposedly if you are the leadership in ISIS, you get harems, amenities, and get to shoot and execute people. Stuff no one else can do. Only the lower foot soldiers actually believe in the prophecy and the BS, some from Europe went there because they are stuck in poverty or a dead end job, etc.
On the other hand, the ISIS leadership might be banking on the long war; much like Afghanistan when the Taliban wasn't totally stamped out and yet the Americans retreated anyways.
Also, I wouldn't put too much into their propaganda. By definition propaganda is used to galvanize the populace and to recruit these cells in western countries.
