Europe is dying because nobody wants to have children. You need 2.1 children per adult female to keep a constant population. Spain is at 1.15 or so, so each generation will have half the amount of people in it. This is suicide.
Europe also needs to pay for their social programs and elderly. So they bring in immigrants to shoulder this burden. Same with the refugees, they cost money now but the hope is they will contribute to the economy and pay for these extensive entitlements in the future. This is cultural suicide.
Japan has the same issue, but they don't want to bring in immigrants, so they're betting on robots to solve their demographic crisis. Perhaps this is the future.
What really gets my goat is that whether or not to welcome and provide for refugees should be a decision the people make. If there was an actual vote on this subject and the Austrian people decided to take in fugees then i would gladly support the cause. As it is now it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
