How do we fix Canada?
I already have an idea for fixing Quebec, which is to purge Montreal of all it's socialist elements and then restore the province io it's pre-Quiet Revolution sense of ethnic and religious identity, making it something like a North American French Poland.

Ban French from use in public services.
Eliminate French language schools and French emersion in English schools.
Outlaw French nationalist holidays.
Arrest French dissidents.
Re-institute the death penalty for treason. Charge separatists with treason. Proceed to execute them.
Stop any and all federal funding of French media and arts.
The French in Quebec are histories' saddest joke. Left to fester in their filth by the British because assimilating them was deemed to much work. They contributed nothing to Canada historically and have continued to contribute nothing into the modern day.
Montreal was built and paid for by the Scottish and English, and the French got uppity and took it all from them. Now Montreal and Quebec are taking the same slide into destitute poverty, crime, and apartheid that South Africa went through after the end of apartheid.
At this rate, in 50 years Quebec will be mistaken for Tripoli, Libya, as it crumbles and hordes of French and Arab militias battle each other in the streets for shipments of rice and flour and water from the rest of Canada.

In what way was it maintained by the French?
English-speakers were management pretty much exclusively until the 70s. Politicians were both French and English.
The French were barely even used as menial labour prior to the 20th century because they couldn't be relied upon to work. Thats why they were primarily farmers and miners. Construction was both too complex and too expensive to risk them fucking it up.
Montreal is and as always been an English city.
The French are good for being corrupt shitbags, nothing more. Sometimes a laugh or two until you realize they really are hopeless.
