Although removing Saddamn was stupid, Bush had good intentions and genuinely believed that he was helping the people of the middle east get freed from a dictator, don't forget that Bush grew up during the cold war, he saw the people of Eastern Europe and how shitty their lives were under the Soviet Union, and believed that he'd be helping the Iraqi's by setting them free.
Blair manipulated his good will into sinking the middle east into chaos.
