Photography's been my personal passion for about eight years (I'm 22) but I have a pretty diverse range of shots to share. It's a random collection of photos I've taken over the years.
I don't know if a have a unified "style," but every photo is a conscious effort toward capturing a feeling or moment.
I rarely get any feedback or critique. This is my first thread on /p/, let me know what you think.
This first shot was a night portrait of my roommate, a horticulturist. He was only lit by these orange sodium grow lights in the greenhouses, but I managed to color-correct.

Sticking to the landscapes - I'm not exactly a reportage fan.
Don't be afraid to PP harder - study the histogram carefully...it should have data all the way across. If its skewed towards one end or another find a way of balancing it out. Your shots tend towards under exposure- lift shadows, lift midtones, do whatever it takes to balance the exposure. Some scenes will need selective dodging and burning. Grad filters are a must, get at least 1 (2 stop soft grad). Remember your brain will trick you into thinking everything's okay- don't let it fool you! The histogram doesn't lie.
Composition wise you're doing ok, especially when you're working with naturally occurring leading lines, but sometimes you need to find a foreground object or detail to give your comps more interest. Not saying you haven't already in some shots, but try and be even more meticulous.
Finally, bad light is a deal killer, almost no exceptions. Once in a blue moon you can recover a sludgily lit shot with a high contrast BW conversion, but not often.
PS 20 - 25 seconds is about as long as you can go with a 17mm on APSC before stars start trailing.

I think that you excel at landscape photography because your subject naturally fills the whole frame and then some, and somehow you know how to make it work (this is not given to everyone, some people really struggle to make a compelling landscape shot). But when you have smaller subjects like people or objects you don't know what to do so much anymore.
Maybe put more thought into how you position yourself, how you're trying to show your subject, how big it should look, what's behind it and all that. People tell you to stick to landscape photography but I'd say just try to improve the rest, it'll be worth the effort.

The actual work aside, your insistence that OP failed because he's not showing "moments and feelings" speaks more to your low level of understanding than anything else. You want emotion served to you on a silver platter; you want it blatant and obvious, easy to find and simple to digest. Like a fast food cheeseburger off the dollar menu, and about as valuable. Guess what? Great work often evokes emotion without being so obvious, and its value is not readily apparent to those who are looking for a shallow quickiefrom whores like Eric Kim et al.
