Because it's better. Wide angle a gimmicky shit for plebs who can't compose and can't plan ahead.
Because it's easier. Telephoto a gimicky shit for plebs who can't compose and too pussy to get in there.

who is this kissable face?
>tfw my longest lens is 35 mm
>>2828303
Yeah, life's so easy when you leave shitty city artsy-fartsy pretentious snap photography land, go out into the world, and do things like wildlife and sports. Let me know how wild animals like your wideangle and please shoot bursts so you can show us the exact moment you get gored by an angry bison
>>2828779
Wow, you must be really good!
Teach me.

Nobody does that, OP.
You just have this weird hangup with telephotos.
>Shoot EVERYTHING with a telephoto
>they can't see me fapping
feels good man
The second you choose your shot for your lens and not your lens for your shot, you've lost.

t. Ken Rockwell
>>2830609
So the only person who would ever let the photo they want to create dictate the equipment they use, rather than running around all day making compromises on composition and perspective to worship a single lens bought for the sake of sharpness, who doesn't get around that hassle by carrying two cameras and five lenses, is Ken Rockwell?
Man, I've heard of never leaving the house and having your head up your ass, but damn...
>>2830614
Kek.
Ken Rockwell was famous for suggesting that all you really need for photography is a D40 and an 18-200. That post was a reference to that statement, and is, essentially, a joke.
But please continue having a hissy fit. It amuses me.
>>2830609
>yfw ken's main camera is an X100T
>>2829400
Ha, you're actually pretty on point with that one. I shoot for publication and not for myself, so I do what it takes to get the shots I need. If that means carrying two bodies and five lenses (and it often does) then so be it.
>>2829400
I used to carry 3 lenses on 3 bodies. Now usually 3 lenses, 2 bodies.
It's a bitch, but watcha gonna do? Beats swapping lenses all the time.

Does this guy shave 110% of his sideburns, or is it just pic related?
>>2828303
God King Rockwell shoots nascar with a 24-70 because he's good enough to get in close

If you can't get good results with a D40 and an 18-200, you need to evaluate your choice of hobby/profession.
>>2831544
Way to totally miss the point just so you can get up on your little soapbox.
