OP here - I find tulips really hard to shoot outside of the shot I did really. Ideally you kind of get lower and more below it but they were in weird positions.
One thing to keep in mind is you did cut off the top part of the flower which kind of hurts the photo.

Not to be one of "that guy" but it's really not a very nice shot, it's just got a nice looking girl in it. The scene is super distracting, with tons of little things in the shot that could easily be removed by changing the camera angle slightly. The processing also leaves quite a bit to be desired, as does the composition.
It also doesn't help the read of the image that you can only look at it a quarter at a time because it's 3,300 pixels tall, but hey. It's not like if it were resized, that might help us not notice the lack of sharp detail or anything.

I would have muted down the red and green in the image, to take some of the distraction from the trees and awning behind her. I would have added some warmth and contrast to her skin, and let her left eye pop some with that great light hitting it. Cleaned up her lips, cropped in a bit to lose the horizontal cross-beam above her. Would have framed differently to avoid the bottle, and the phone, and menus.

I used photoshop, not lightroom. If you want really nicely polished portraits, you need masking, and adjustment layers.
If you only had lightroom, you could still do the color muting with HSL and adjustment brush. The crop you could do, as well as most of the skin cleanup. The warming for the skin would happen in the tone curve dialog, but you wouldn't be able to mask it to her skin like I did. Lowering the contrast in the rest of the image would be done with the adjustment brush.
The big change to make it look more "fashion magazone" was to take the background layer, duplicated it, and set it to soft-light blending mode, and then blend-if it away from the shadows, which added contrast and glow to her.
I then did a sharpening layer on top by combining all layers, and doing a high pass filter, and set the layer to soft light.

If you want smooth lines, you need to point your camera at smooth lines. If you want simple scenes, you need to point your camera at simple scenes. Here's the overall scene, it was very messy and very hard to move into, I mean physicaly.
I know it's a good piece of advice, and I try to use it as much as possible.
But, and I talked about it in another thread, my current daily routine is a bit special, I get about 10min per location, tops. Which I kinda like, instead of wandering around for hours like I used to so, I have to find good shots very quickly.
So, sure, it's far from a perfect shot, one could argue there's no such thing as a perfect shot anyway. But the contraints I have are already hard enough on me, so I'm not gonna torture myself over every shot, I just hope I'll get better by keeping doing this.

Amazing shot, true high art.
The framing quite literarily turns the rules onto the side. Art should have no rules. The subject matter while seemingly uninteresting at first glance shows the true genius of this photographer. By showing something that we take for granted everyday he's put a deep message into the photograph that leaves you thinking on the drive back to the art gallery.
