That is the one photo that is almost decent. It made me want to look at it for more then a second. A tree and a sky are very rarely a worthy subject. But if you're interested in photography look into famous photography, invest into decent gear, learn something, and give it a real shot.

I have a Nikon D5000. I'm still learning how to use it though. Plus I don't trust myself with it drunk on a bicycle.

Pick up a textbook or anything about composing pictures. These are all terrible snapshits.
After learning, buy a small bridge camera like a fuji x10 so you can practice photography with a cheap easily pocket able camera. Shoot in full manual.
