My new phone scans film better than my old camera. Just wanted to share so here's most of my film, missed focus and bad shots included.
>lets be real, almost all shots are bad shots
I just did a batch color correction for each set. Will probably go back and fix up the ones I actually like
I'll start with some provia
>my first rangefinder
>nothing's centered or level
That's the end of the Provia.
I'll be back after brunch to dump some Ektar.
>>2740510
God, Provia is like cheat mode for color
>>2740510
How do you scan with phone?
>>2740587
Get an app.
>>2740591
If it wasn't good or in focus, then why the fuck would you post it.
I'm back with some ektar
>my dog got carsick and threw up on my backseat
thats all of the ektar
ill be back with some superia later
>>2740637
why not? its an end-of-the-year film dump

Thank god you don't shoot digital. Otherwise we'd be seeing hundreds of snapshits. Professional galleries would have thousands of snapshits otherwise.
Instead, they post the best of what they got, to define and describe their own skills and to attract clients and buyers. That's not happening if your gallery is full of shit.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this thread is - you posted 55 images but only about half of them are even in focus. While its interesting to see the kinds of scenes that your eyes are attracted to, it would be really nice if you could put at least a little bit of effort into the technical aspects.
Some of them are kinda pretty:
>>2740510
There's a lot of dead space at the bottom of the image, which makes the eye attracted to the ugly patch of dead grass. Getting closer would have made the subjects appear larger in the frame, removed the dead grass, and filled the lower portion of the frame - three birds with one stone.
>>2740660
All the lines in this image point towards the car on the street (even the sun is shining on it), but you've ignored this fact and cut the car in half. It could have been a fairly strong image if you'd taken a couple steps to your right and aimed further left to get more of the street in (although I'm guessing this wouldn't have been possible anyway)
>>2740697 It's a nice triangular frame you've created, but there's not really anything to fill it. I would have waited until there was someone walking on the stairs.
>>2740700
While incredibly simple and therefore quite bland, this is one of the very few shots you've posted which is both in focus and not compositionally flawed. golf clap
These are just my opinions, feel free to disagree

These are potato scans, try harder.

>I really want to try some astia
It is good.
>getting 10 rolls back and discovering there was a light leak in the brand new bellows: priceless
And finally, to the photos.
Holy fuck, they're all terrible.
Throw your camera in the bin.
If you're only very new to photography, don't post these anywhere they'll be associated with your name, otherwise when you look back on them in a year's time, the cringe is gonna get really real.

>>2740533

The predatorvision pics are the only ones with a skerrick of interest, but again, either your failure to camera or your failure to scan has rendered them unenjoyable.
back from dinner, ready to upload the rest of last year's film
>looks like i got a lot of feedback

its funny because this thread's probably gotten more c&c then my curated threads. definitely more attention
>>2740709
i actually primarily shoot digital. this is just a hobby, but do you think i can get into a gallery?
>>2740759
follow me on tumblr senpai
>>2740784
>>2740787
contribution nonetheless
>>2740794
i tried that with my cheap tripod and a tablet for light with a nex-5 and kit lens. with the min focus distance, i ended up with a scans 900px on the long side and they were blurrier. sorry to disappoint anon
>>2740805
sorry to hear that senpai. ill try to avoid snapshitting when i get some
>>2740812
i actually cringed immediately for the majority of these when i saw them.
>>2740965
someone gets it. i like you omi.
>>2740786
this thread was an experiment. ive never gotten this many posts for any of my threads and this took almost no effort. half of them arent even color corrected properly and most of them i missed focus but im getting more info out of this thread then any of my past threads.
really appreciate your c&c though and agree with it 100%
if this is a bad thread, ignore it. filter my trip. go give someone asking for c&c some helpful comments. all you guys have done is give me incentive to do this more often.

Then what you're saying is that you didn't try it.
USE A FLASH
USE A MACRO LENSE
>>2741015
but i dont have a flash or a macro lens senpai. these are good enough for me and my hobby.
>>2741011
filtered ;)
>>2740983
This one is pretty cool
>>2741066
Thanks a lot senpai. I'm always worried about missing the moment that I mess up composition or worry too much about comp that I miss the moment. You're the reason I keep trying
You do a disservice to the film stock with these scans/neg photos OP. Images like this are why people think film is always blue shifted with lifted blacks.

They were brand new bellows, but apparently just low quality ones.
Wore a hole in a corner fold in the space of a fortnight.
Most shots were unaffected, just the ones that had direct sun hitting the hole.
Returned the camera for a full refund no questions asked, effectively shot my holiday on grorious Fuji MF for free.
Shimbashi-ichi Camera, can't recommend enough.

pretty sure ive replied to every one whos posted
>except >>2741132
but to reiterate, ive tried and i got one or two critiques. they were about as good as the 3 or four critiques here that dont mention color.
ill stop replying when people stop posting. ill probably try a curated set next month, get one or two comments, then do this thread again since i got more comments with less effort which makes this way more fun.
>if this thread is cancer, stop posting, let it die, and incentivize the people who're trying harder than i am

Fuji is probably your best bet.
Like I said, the repair was already done when I bought it.
There is a good likelihood however that if Japanese camera shops are using cheap paper replacements, then proper vinyl or leather ones are unobtainable.
Ebay it.
