I bought this yashica 124g off of KEH when they had a sale going last week for $60 in UG condition. Never bought UG before so I wasn't expecting the best.
Opened the box today to find a mint copy. I'm excited to run a roll through it the weekend and see if the glass is as good as it looks.
Anyone else find a great deal recently?

Haha, that is fucked.
They probably decided it wasn't worth googling how to use a Hasselblad before thinking it was broken because they couldn't get it to fire.
>>2719804
Also, the inevitable result that you'll sometimes get at a secondhand shop run by crackheads, for crackheads.
If it had a Monster Energy sticker all over it signed by a UFC fighter it would also be $1000 automatically.
I'm not poor so I don't feel the need to brag about getting cheap stuff for cheaper.

Nice find. What kind of store did you pick this up at? A thrift store?
>>2719868
Cash converters is an upscaleish(Lol?) pawnshop. Someone lost a kneecap over that.
>>2719901
What a bunch of loons. Makes me want to scale and search through all pawn shops near me. I've been getting hella deals at Thrift stores. Like an Agfa Karat IV in Mint condition for 10$. Thanks goodwill <:^)
>>2719759
I call bullshit on so many levels.
>>2719916
Oh. Well I mean; that's plausible. Most pawn shops google what they've got for sale.
>>2719916
That's more like it.
It's like the dude on /fa/ who put his own shoes on a rack at goodwill for a picture.
>>2719916
Well done.
Also, holy shit are you retarded?
You thought a bronica for $300 just wouldn't give you the IQ you wanted?
>>2719921
>You thought a bronica for $300 just wouldn't give you the IQ you wanted?
Money ain't a thang.
>>2719924
How is your collection looking these days anyway?
The last time I saw you post about your cameras I think was that Nikon P&S with the clock dials on top, and I thought this is a man with some interesting no.
>>2719928
I actually liquidated my entire camera collection. I bought a new car and pared down all of my possessions so that they all fit in said car - and I've been doing a lot of road-tripping, taking photos.
I was never a collector, per se. I was just trying to find the perfect cameras for me, and I found them. For 35mm it's the Nikon F100, and for MF it's the Hasselblad 500 series (501C).
>>2719938
My approach is entirely different.
I think the Araki quote on tokyo camera style sums it up for me
>If you want to change your photographs, you need to change cameras. Changing cameras means that your photographs will change. A really good camera has something I suppose you might describe as its own distinctive aura.
I take different photos with every camera, so I tend to choose the one that suits my mood. They all focus your attention in different ways. I've never had the compulsion to carry around a camera that covers all the bases at one time. The closest I'll come is having an SLR with a wide attached and a normal in my pocket.
>>2719917
Pretty much. The chances of finding a $13 Leica or a $3 Habbelsad at a thrift shop even is nul since they look that shit up.
Goodwill specifically puts big ticket items on their online auction site.
>>2720007
Fucking GOODWILL IS A JOKE.
Other than the Agfa I found; every single goodwill in the past month has had the same exact Canon Ae-1 with a 70-200 Lens in their auction window. It's kinda annoying to see such a repetitive process for a "giving back" kind of store.
Ohio Thrift/Flea Markets/Garage Sales are bomb.
>>2720035
I once found an OM10 at a Goodwill once for like $10. Flipped it a couple months later for around $30 when I managed to snag an OM1 kit for cheap at a swap meet.
>>2720036
I'm waiting for the other two Agfa Karat IV's to go off EBay / Etsy so I can price it at my own pricing. Somewhere around 500. So I can upgrade to a FF.
Or consider getting an A7 as my side bitch.
Canon did a one day offer for a refurbished 70D with a 18-55mm lens and an added 55-250mm for $650.
this is not gear find, but i found 30 kodak gold 100 for $1 each. pretty f*cken sweet.
>>2719818
Someone handed this to me when I was visiting with a friend. They said that since I liked photography maybe I could use it. It was in the box. He shot one roll if film with it.

Shit I just bought a Canon FT QL with a 55mm f1.2 for $70.
How much did I fuck up?
>>2721966
>Canon FT QL
Meh, you did fine.
If you're going to use it. Use it.
I found this for 150, but I'm too poor to afford it.
Well, it's no 12$ M3 but I was pretty happy with these over the last year:
Vivitar Series 1 28mm f/1.9 for €2
Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 28mm f/2.8 for €0,50
SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/2.8 for €2
Yashica Electro35 GSN for €2,50
All in a second hand store.
And a lucky auction
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50/1.4, 35/3.5, 200/4 with a Spotmatic SPII and angle finder, all pretty much mint for €40.
(thank god for blurry pics and vague descriptions)
>>2719776
Latest omg-valuable find, $10. Bonus! Included a center spot filter.
If eBay is to be believed, worth $150, give or take.
my lucky finds - for $60 I got a 4x5 Graflex Crown Graphic w/ 135mm F/4.7 lens and an Canon FTQL with an FL55mm F/1.2 lens. Both take excellent pictures.
My best is buying a setup and shooting the shit out of it for 4 years before selling it for a $500 profit. Feels good to have rented a very sought after camera that long for free
Just got a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR2 in Like New condition for $650
Yup.

My local shop sells 4x4 for pretty cheap. Like 7 a roll.
Listed as BGN grade and got it for 260 sheks. Aside from the dust in the lens, which is normal for it's age, this thing looks clean.

:0
I recently managed to pick up a Contax 645 for around £150 and £50 for the 55mm f3.5. Not the best find but good enough.
>>2724108
It is, which is great cause I can use it on my n70. I do mostly video though so AI or not isn't that important to me, being able to declick is a bigger concern. Back to that bgn grade though, I'm very impressed with how clean the lens was, it's basically 9.5/10 for an ebay-er.
>>2719759
this man wants to watch the world burn
Just saw an Olympus Stylus Epic in the antique store in walking distance of me for $70 yet in the same shop saw 2 Nikon F50 bodies and a Minolta Maxxum (forgot model) with a 35-70mm f3.5 being sold together for $15
What the hell
>>2726009
Fun camera, a friend of mine let me borrow it and I shot a party at my house with it. Haven't had a chance to get the film developed yet but I had a good time using it.

Yesterday i went to buy this Pentax ES for 39€ from a old kind man.
On the way there i found 2 20€ notes on the ground.
I basicly got it for free what the fuck man.
My holy pentax trinity is finally complete.

I knew it had to be some fuck from /p/. Australian Film photographers lost their collective shit over this.

>not ESII
>not 67II
>no 645 at all
niqqa please, lrn 2 gearfag
>>2728349
I have a 645
67II is prone to breaking
ESII has a VERY shit place for a battery compartiment, and is more prone to break than the ES.
Also good luck finding a 2000 Lx
atleast i have a Pentax K2 DMD
was at my uncle's house for christmas and he gave me some Tamron Adaptall lenses he used to use on his Pentax K1000.
-135 f/2.5
-60-300 f/3.8-5.4 (lol what kind of apertures are these)
and a 2x teleconverter
the 135/2.5 looks super super sweet and i can't wait to get a Nikon Adaptall for it
found my dad's old t70. new to photography and i figure this is a good starter camera. thoughts?

Want a Zenza Bronica using the 4.5x6cm film? Or a Yashica FX-3 Super? The German gov and police sells its old stuff from time to time, like here:

Does negotiating very aggressively works on this market or did I just got lucky with this Zenit SLR?
The seller had the lowest marked price out of everyone else on the internet, I asked for half of it. We ended up settling for 70% of the (already really low) original price.
>>2730637
No, Zenits are worthless trash.
The seller was happy to get anything at all for it.
