I bought this yashica 124g off of KEH when they had a sale going last week for $60 in UG condition. Never bought UG before so I wasn't expecting the best.

Opened the box today to find a mint copy. I'm excited to run a roll through it the weekend and see if the glass is as good as it looks.

Anyone else find a great deal recently?

Haha, that is fucked.
They probably decided it wasn't worth googling how to use a Hasselblad before thinking it was broken because they couldn't get it to fire.
>>
>>2719804
Also, the inevitable result that you'll sometimes get at a secondhand shop run by crackheads, for crackheads.
If it had a Monster Energy sticker all over it signed by a UFC fighter it would also be $1000 automatically.

I actually paid like $1900 from a Japanese eBay seller... I made that photo specifically to troll this shitty film photography community I'm a part of. I was successful.
>>
>>2719916
Oh. Well I mean; that's plausible. Most pawn shops google what they've got for sale.
>>
>>2719916

It's like the dude on /fa/ who put his own shoes on a rack at goodwill for a picture.
>>

>>

>You thought a bronica for $300 just wouldn't give you the IQ you wanted?
Money ain't a thang.
>>
>>2719924
How is your collection looking these days anyway?
The last time I saw you post about your cameras I think was that Nikon P&S with the clock dials on top, and I thought this is a man with some interesting no.
>>
>>2719928
I actually liquidated my entire camera collection. I bought a new car and pared down all of my possessions so that they all fit in said car - and I've been doing a lot of road-tripping, taking photos.

I was never a collector, per se. I was just trying to find the perfect cameras for me, and I found them. For 35mm it's the Nikon F100, and for MF it's the Hasselblad 500 series (501C).
>>
>>2719938
My approach is entirely different.
I think the Araki quote on tokyo camera style sums it up for me
>If you want to change your photographs, you need to change cameras. Changing cameras means that your photographs will change. A really good camera has something I suppose you might describe as its own distinctive aura.

I take different photos with every camera, so I tend to choose the one that suits my mood. They all focus your attention in different ways. I've never had the compulsion to carry around a camera that covers all the bases at one time. The closest I'll come is having an SLR with a wide attached and a normal in my pocket.
>>
>>2719917
Pretty much. The chances of finding a $13 Leica or a $3 Habbelsad at a thrift shop even is nul since they look that shit up.
Goodwill specifically puts big ticket items on their online auction site.
>>
>>2720007
Fucking GOODWILL IS A JOKE.

Other than the Agfa I found; every single goodwill in the past month has had the same exact Canon Ae-1 with a 70-200 Lens in their auction window. It's kinda annoying to see such a repetitive process for a "giving back" kind of store.

Ohio Thrift/Flea Markets/Garage Sales are bomb.
>>
>>2720035
I once found an OM10 at a Goodwill once for like $10. Flipped it a couple months later for around $30 when I managed to snag an OM1 kit for cheap at a swap meet.
>>
>>2720036
I'm waiting for the other two Agfa Karat IV's to go off EBay / Etsy so I can price it at my own pricing. Somewhere around 500. So I can upgrade to a FF.
Or consider getting an A7 as my side bitch.

Meh, you did fine.
If you're going to use it. Use it.

I found this for 150, but I'm too poor to afford it.
>>
Well, it's no 12$ M3 but I was pretty happy with these over the last year:

Vivitar Series 1 28mm f/1.9 for €2
Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 28mm f/2.8 for €0,50
SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/2.8 for €2
Yashica Electro35 GSN for €2,50
All in a second hand store.

And a lucky auction
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50/1.4, 35/3.5, 200/4 with a Spotmatic SPII and angle finder, all pretty much mint for €40.
(thank god for blurry pics and vague descriptions)

I recently managed to pick up a Contax 645 for around £150 and £50 for the 55mm f3.5. Not the best find but good enough.
>>
>>2724108
It is, which is great cause I can use it on my n70. I do mostly video though so AI or not isn't that important to me, being able to declick is a bigger concern. Back to that bgn grade though, I'm very impressed with how clean the lens was, it's basically 9.5/10 for an ebay-er.

Does negotiating very aggressively works on this market or did I just got lucky with this Zenit SLR?

The seller had the lowest marked price out of everyone else on the internet, I asked for half of it. We ended up settling for 70% of the (already really low) original price.
>>
>>2730637
No, Zenits are worthless trash.
The seller was happy to get anything at all for it.
