What I was trying to capture on the second picture is that it's becoming winter, and still a tennis ball is lost in the woods. I guess that what i try to convey, is that though something is lost somewhere, it's not forgotten and may be enjoyed by others.
I think the last one is so sharp because I triend out my new lens. It's a Sigma 105mm makro.

it's tough to crop that out because i think you'll lose key elements of the picture if you do. crop from the right and the lower right corner rock is too small, crop from the top and you lose a lot of pretty waterfall

i own a tokina 100mm macro and you're probably right. macro primes are the sharpest and finest lenses there are.

white balance is fine, reds are invasive and taking too much from the blacks. composition is a little biased towards the first set of candles. depth of field also seems to cease a little early, i feel the subject should be more towards the centre of the table rather than the candle. otherwise not bad.

I really like this shot, the best of the two you posted. While >>2711098 is more dull, the second one is way more interesting. But the branch or whatever on the right that is blurry is really distracting, next time it would be advisable to remove it or something. What immediately strikes my mind when watching this one, is the small branches in the lower left region of the photo. They are a bit distracting, and you could maybe do better without them. I dont know how big the pond is, but it could probably be a cooler composition if you crouched down to get closer to the water as well, and maybe using the big branches as a way to drag the viewer into the photo. At least that is what I would've done.

I don't know if it's true, but it looks like the letters move around the cylinder? If so, I would've waited a little while to get the numbers on the left side of the tower to get away. Right now it looks distracting. Also, you've placed the tower in the middle, not vertically. It would look better if it was placed one third from the left or right edge of the photo, and of course the tower should go straight up. Also, as a rule of thumb, when photographing a vertical object, you should hold the camera vertically as well. Other than that it's a cool photo. Keep up the good work, anon!

Again - do you have the negatives? From the way its only overlaps half the frame I'd guess it's the last frame of the film, there wasn't enough of it for a full one and it overlaps the penultimate one. You'd be sure if you *looked at the negative*.
How to do double exposures? Use camera that has uncoupled film advance and shutter release. i.eg. a Smena 8M off ebay or something, dirt cheap stuff.

I was getting a roll through a 60yo SLR and the frame advance sprocket tore the film at the last frame so I could crank the shutter w/o advancing it (there was nothing to advance) - I hadn't realised for 5 consecutive shots that I was out of film. Lesson learned,accidental multiple exposure stacked. I hadn't made any intentional ones since then so this was the only example I had lying around.

This is a great exposure. Super colorful, but nothing is actually blown out. Great whites, nice sense of sunlight, nice blue color in the shadows.
