It's boring and cluttered.
The sunset itself is pretty standard. Nothing exciting to look at there. No interesting clouds, and the people and stuff on the beach are distracting and make what you might view as an amazing landscape into a lazy shot of some totally average stuff happening on a totally average day.
Also, your technique is sloppy. Your horizon is crooked, which can occasionally add something to certain types of photos, but does nothing but lower the overall polish of this photo.

Got the 35mm 1.8G DX yesterday so I just went out to try it out pretty much. Test its capabilities. Just took it as a snapshot pretty much, didn't stick around to try out loads of different apertures and stuff. In retrospect I could've got a much better picture with a longer focal length and smaller aperture, focusing just on the middle log. However, the background would've been way too distracting if it weren't blurry.
Finally got my Illford HP5 400 film developed. Some were snapshits but hey ho, they were all taken on a Canon AV-1 so I'm still getting to grips with manual focus.

On my DSLR, the EXIF is attached to the RAW file, and is retained when I convert it to JPG.

You make a creative decision to help support and convey your intent. "Cubism" (as you're calling it) could be used in photography to express a schizophrenic mind, or some internal struggle. A variety of emotions all fighting to get out in a single frame. etc. It COULD be used well, to communicate an idea. But no. Here, it was used as a gimmick. it adds nothing other than "ooh it's artsy! Look Janet did you see this one? My iPhone can't do that!"
it's distracting from a portrait that would be pleasant enough on its own. When the effect garners more attention than the content of the photo, it's a gimmick. This is true for all types of editing.

there isnt much verticality in your image so im not sure why you shot it in portrait.
i guess the object you're shooting is this illuminated path up the dune that draws the eye into the night sky. its a problem that the foot of the path is out of the frame, since it gives the eye nowhere to start in the picture. it leaves the viewer stumbling around in the shadows closer to the center of the frame for a while, which makes ur pic feel messier and less focused than it should be.
if you stepped back and shot this in landscape with the lighted path closer to the center bottom of the frame rather than cut off at the left, it would work better
