Can't eat them if they are over 24" here due to pollution. So, I stopped fishing for them. Channel cats are my thing now. I miss the 1980s and little to no pollution.

I love catfish. They are disgusting when you really think about them. They literally eat trash and can poison you if you grab them wrong.

But fried catfish is so delicious.

I don't go after them so much anymore i prefer redfish or bass as they fight harder and aren't just sit on the bottom tier fishing. But yea when i have dead stinky bait i fish for cats.

Texas btw. Prefer salt bay fishing but I fish ponds, lakes, rivers and bayous. I love stalking reds and sea bass in the bays. But yea once im drunk and tired i rig for cats and sit there waiting.
