Hello /out/, I picked up a new stove (pic related, Primus Omnifuel II) and need to build a base for winter/snow use. A while back a Scandinavian anon posted a very nice base made of acrylic and aluminum tape, looking for suggestions on fabricating my own version. Needs to be lightweight, not melt under the stove, insulate the base from the snow, and have space for the fuel bottle.
Also, it's been a while since we had a stove general.

Just compact the snow under and around it and put some tinfoil, Should do the work unless you are going to be melting snow for 3 hours. Kids these days... baka

I've used a thin wooden board as a base while mountaineering. It worked fine, doesn't have to be more complicated than that.
