Motopeds - are these still a thing? I came across them while checking out new fx motos which are coming out soon, and thought this motoped would be a cheaper alrernative. But upon looking ( im in australia) it seems like they arent around anymore. Did they go bust or something? Anyone know whats going on with them or where i can get one in australia? The motoped.com.au site looks like no ones been on it since 2014.
Yeah I have one actually , it's a blast around neighborhoods, trails, and off-road , only weighs like 130 lbs
Feel free to ask anything

How long does a tank of gas last?
>>719583
i aso ride the piss out of it could probably get 90 mpg of easy riding
>>719586
Does it seem like it can take a beating? Ie isnt going to snap in half? I need some australian input so i can track one down.

well ive dropped it quite a few times, all pretty hard, ive broken both mirrors off ( thet were cheap chinashit aftermarket ones thst i got for $7) i broke the breather tube off when i had a hard fall once but it was below freezing m hardest fall i bent one of the pedals pretty bad, but when i got home i straightened it out with a vice

Sounds pretty good, does it feel good doing jumps etc? (I dont mean big ones just the odd one over a sppon drain or something) ive been doing some research into aus rules, theres no way itll be legal for street use even with a 50cc so i will endeavour to get a 125. Is that heaps of power? Or would u rather have a 150?
Any aus anons know where to get these in aus???

pretty decent doing small jumps an shit, ive gone off of some dedent shit and it holds up ood, suspen tion is actually really nice the 125 is about 8 horsepower, and is the largest you can run with a semi automatic clutch since ou need both hands for breaks ,
does it seem durable? Would it be able to do the cross country trans am trail?

its a honda clone engine, piss easy to work on , most ev everything on the bike can be taken apart with 4 allen wrenches and like 5 sockets , i havent had anything break other then when i dropped ut ive probably put a few hundred miles onj it just around my neighborhood and on short trails nearby,

The 3k price tag isnt too bad. Spend about the same for a mid range full suspension mountain bike. Could you sit on that seat for 8 hrs a day for 45ish days?
>>721020
seat is surprisingly comfy, but maybe not 8 hours, longest ive done is 2-3 it wouldnt be too difficult to make a softer seat cover, with basic sewing skills ive considered selling mine actually though feel like no one would want it because it has some scrapes and scuffs
So has anyone come out with a good turn signal/brake/headlight kit for one? I've been looking at making one street legal with one of the bigger motors.
I think having the Grom and Z125 Pro around will help push the motor tech into the 21st century.

FxMotos are damn vaporware, a shame too. They stink like Elio Motors does.
>>719524
One day I'll get one of these, they look so fun to hoon with.
Maybe this summer I'll be able to ride out your way. (SVpleb here)
>>723149
you can have mine after i fix some shit on it, it is stupid fun in little neighborhoods etc il gove you a good deal too since ive broken so much shit on it nd it isnt shiny and new anymore

Most of my riding is in my neighborhood where I rarley see cops, the one time I did see them I didn't stick around to see what they thought I 360 moonwalked away, jumped on a foot path to a different neighborhood then booked it through some power lines to someplace else
I avoid busy roads just because I'd rather avoid confrontation , same reason I o ly bring it on the bike path is early morning or if no ones around /its raining
