Atleast now I know to put the car into neutral when I'm entering/exiting a parking garage (for automatics atleast) and that warning beeps are fucking useless if there are too many of them

I have not had any close calls, I just dicked around in my car on a private road until I learned what not to do. Ended up in a few ditches, all good.

Almost forgot, did 115 multiple times trying to hit the magic 120 mark on the dodge spirit I had at the time. Eventually did hit 120 and then I whipped out my phone to call my buddy and let him know while I let the car coast back down to the speed limit. Nothing else notable beyond developing an oil leak that lead to the engine blowing.
All of these happened when I was 18, with the exception of the drinking bit. That wasn't until about a year and a half ago.

This was another thing nobody told me about moving to manual. I'm fine now, but the first few times on left turn signals... they give you about a quarter second before they honk. People are so fucking stupid and do burnouts every signal and I'm still with them doing casual grandma driving. Worst thing that pisses me off is people who tailgate or swerve lanes to get ahead when the next light is clearly red and there's traffic piled up, there is literally no way you're making this any faster for you.

Luckily every time i experienced microsleep, i was on a straightaway or a right hander, so i would jerk awake in the other lane and not the guardrail or a ditch.
90% of the road i take has a huge drop behind the guardrails. Several dozen meters, most of the times into the sea.
