I think this proves my point. It's kids with no money that do this. They don't want to lose in a race because it will destroy their fragile psyche, but they can't afford to make their car fast. So they choose the route that is cheaper as well as puts them in a safe place from the haters.

Eco-modded cars are slow but impressively fuel efficient. Stance reduces a car's practicality while adding no objective qualities whatsoever, which is why a vast majority of the car community can't stand it.

We didn't even have teachers watch over us during break times in middle school/elementary whatever you call it.
We had pic related at the end of the grass field, instead it was larger and the ropes reached higher and were supported by huge wooden columns. We would go on either end of the ropes, one kid at a time, and try to get to the other end before the opposing kid did. Everything allowed, no teachers no rules. I don't know how we didn't break bones, necks, or rib cages because it was fucking ruthless.
There was no crying, no bitching. If somebody got their nose punched or face pushed into the ropes you had to fight the other kid off.
Same rules went for any other sport we played recreationally. One time we were playing rugby with a soccer ball, we did a scrum and I nearly got my fucking vertebrae shattered.
It was all GOAT, but as soon as I went to high school it all went down hill and the fun ended.
Went from being in a great learning environment with a lot of physical action, to a prison environment where you'd get reprimanded for stepping out of line or even attempting to fight.
I might be a skinny and weak neet hopeless fuck now, but I'm thankful for those early experiences.

A lot of stance tropes started out on the drag strip and in amateur racing events and people who do stance forget the reason they made their cars look like how they did.
Because it was the cheapest option.
