>I am able to run US/Canadian VINs and US plates. For plates the same rules apply as VINs; 1981 or newer, US registered, and the plate and state are needed. Plates do work most of the time, but VINs are more reliable.
>Please remove hyphens (dashes) from VINs/plates - unless they happen to be part of a vanity plate. This makes copying and pasting easier.
>I can only run cars in/originally in the USA/Canada. If they've been exported from the USA/Canada, a report with their time here will be available. Not yet sure about imported cars.
>Cars need to be of the 1981 model year or newer. That's when standardized VINs began. Anything older simply cannot be run for a report.
>There are never I(i), O(o), nor Q(q) in VINs. This is to avoid confusion with 1 and 0. So if you are unsure, it is always 1 or 0 (not the case for classic cars, but they cannot be run anyway).
>VINs must be 17 characters exactly. No more, no less.
>If you want the PDF-file you can open the page source (F12) and search "amazonaws", copy the whole link and put it in your browser. This should allow you to download the PDF. If its not working send me an email at [email protected]. Please leave a reply if you do so

can you guys help maybe, I've been looking for either of two cars my dad owned for like ten years and I've tried all sorts of stuff. I've tried a family member run vin at a junk yard, a friend police officer, some in the know car guys... But someone told me 4chan might be able to help. yeah it sounds dangerous but the truck is in amazing shape where the powertrain, suspension and anything else mechanical is concerned

+$380 on suspension parts
so it ends up coming out to around $6980 for a salvage title truck that runs like a dream but looks like shit and I ain't even mad, the ol' war pig has been good to me since the day I got her and has never left me on the side of the road

What is the best course of action to check imports that have been on US soil for a while, but have 11/14 digit VIN? I posted an 11 digit VIN for a GT-R being sold locally and was summarily booty blasted. I understand that the system requires what it requires, but what other avenues would there be to check these vehicles? I'm not beyond rolling the dice if there isn't one.

Auction announced as frame damage is always bullshit when it has no correlating accident reported, salvage title or anything. Its just a way for the company that put the car into auction/auctioneers to avoid lawsuits if the car is found to be damaged later on

The car was mechanically fine, but the dealer it's at is kinda dumpy and they didn't even clean the car before trying to sell it. It had dog hair everywhere including the headliner and smelled like dog. Also the dealer doesn't do trade in's at all. I would've got it if they did trade in's.
