I feel like this can be said for the ISA edition of the Fiesta ST, but not the Focus ST. Though they're both designed for the enthusiast market, I feel like the Focus ST put too much effort into creature comforts and trying to "feel" luxurious.
I live in San Diego and drive a FiST. I do the Palomar run every few weekends and I see a lot of crashed toyobarus, but never crashed miatas. Last weekend there was a new corvette all chromed (I mean a literal full chrome paint job) doing the run as well. Obviously his first time but he was having fun.
