Good question. To be sporty and advanced compared to the current product line, with an exotic engine that is still Honda reliable: an accesible, reliable knock off of high end exotics. They may have achieved that. So it is a spiritual successor to the name and idea, but not much like the original car. Damn, now i feel stupid.
This is one of those cars that not alot of poeple will buy so it'll end up being a meme car that wont really be seen see much and will just be forgotten, kinda like the LFA, there like what 200 of those around that people baby, maybe a few that people actually use hardcore?

My original point was, that's not even the NSX most glaring and obvious downfall. Look at the front end, it has to conform to the Mazda Smiling Face® and they try to fill every square inch with 5 different materials/finishes.
I expect to see outlandish styling cues, with shapes and forms that just cant be done on a low end commuter car with a RRP of 20k, but these guys don't get that MORE isn't always better.
It's an amateur attempt at something they've lost touch with and it ends up feeling like a stretch Civic Type R.
