In 40 years will modern muscle cars have the same cool factor that classic muscle cars have today?
what are modern muscle cars?
Most likely.
Cars 15-20 years from now will probably be less focused on sportiness and more on practicality, as the role of the driver will be automated and cars effectively become people movers. Alongside your botique manufacturers that will inevitably spring up to sell people "real drivers' cars", people will be clamoring for cars from the past, specifically the 'golden days before the driverless age'.
The muscle cars of today will be highly revered years from now. Hell, it might only be a few years when high school kids begin picking these up off the used market and driving them around just like kids in the 70s.

tbph I think even poorfag 3rd and 4th gen muscle cars have more lasting appeal
at least they tried to do something different rather than just looking like the big block cars but uglier
>>14098848
Probably not. They'll be seen as neat rides but will never have the following of the 60s and 70s. Just like pic related.
I also doubt anyone will bother restoring them due to the fact modern vehicles are a nightmare to work on.

Also, I didn't really buy my car thinking about what I'd think of it 40 years from now. However, I am very happy with my SS and don't plan on selling it for years to come.

Just pretty much the Challenger/Charger cause they're built on a full size chassis. Everything else is a pony car
