Anyhow, rode about 200km today. Went to the Southern tip of the island and while the ride there was cool, the place itself was pretty meh. Did a 360 and turned around heading to the Northern part of the island. Took every single dirt road I found on the way, found an enormous pile of dirt in the middle of some fields.

Yeah but the suspension is horrible for that though. No travel at all and every minor bump feels like I'm trying to destroy the bike. Can't find many dual sport tires on 100/80 and 130/70 on 17" either.

LS2 and AFX look the best. I like my Bell MX-9. Can remove the visor because at those speeds when you aren't facing forward the wind will twist your neck, keep that in mind when you get a helmet with visor. otherwise it's great for the sun and for debris kicked in front of you in the woods

I pulled a pic because you can only see the bird for like 1/2 a second in the actual video.
I was using a SJCAM SJ4000. It was cheap and works alright for what I use it for but it only shoots 1080p at 30FPS (and the 720p60 mode is fake 60FPS). If I was trying to make some "serious content" then I'd opt for a slightly higher end camera that can at least shoot true 1080p60. I only bought it to mess around with though so a more expensive camera would've just been a waste of money in my case.

Tbh I actually would not recommend this bike. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty nice and comes with some cool electronics but the full package IMO isn't worth the $13k+ price point.
If it was faster, I think I would recommend it. Despite the 800cc displacement, I really had to crank it to 8k to get it moving. Wish it came a bit easier.
Other than that, I am fucking 100% sold on BMW bikes. It's so refined. I can't imagine what a S1000R or RR is like

It's pretty affordable depending on the type of bike you get.
Any BMW is going to average around $160 pre-tax and they come with a mile cap of 300 miles or so (per day rented).
If you get something like an Indian Scout or a generic Harley, you're looking at about $99/day with unlimited miles.
Overall, it was well worth it. No gimmicks, you literally give them the money and they give you a key. Simple as that. I might rent a scout for my last day in Vegas, I don't know yet
