Got that cold air intake installed. I broked somethink called an "air assist valve" while doing it though. $124 at the Honder dealership.

Ordered the hybrid racing timing chain tensioner. Now I just need rdx injectors and I'll be ready for cams and valvetrain

nice. I think my visually neglected shitbox deserves red LED interior bulbs. I think a couple of the gauge bulbs are burnt out (one of them just burnt out tonight) and the air settings above the radio have been burned out since I bought the car. I'll probably remove the SRS light too.
Pic related but they're regular bulbs tinted red.
>>
>>15368223
I love my white LED bulbs in mine. When I bought a new cluster for my sedan the bulbs were red but not LED so it looked weird.

My AC control lights haven't worked at all since I got it. Don't know if it's because they're burnt out or not though. I wanna yank out the rear defrost bulb since that really has no bed to be lit up.

I recorded it, but I still have to go through the video I'm not sure how well the footage will work, but I'll give it a shot.

as for that valve, I just duck taped it closed kek. No effects that I've noticed, I guess it's just to help idle at start up in cold temps. Still, I'm more than willing to pay the 120 bucks for a new one to put my mind at ease. I don't like revving it out knowing there's some ratchet duct tape job underneath the hood. Still pulls hard in vtec and I feel like i got a bit more torque down low. The sound is almost exactly the same the short ram intake. That reminds me...

welp just ordered $30+ worth of leds. 8 for the cluster and center console, 2 for the plates, and 1 for the dome light. The 8 bulbs are going to be red and the last 3 are white. Pretty excited desu (probably will install it on the 11th). I think it looks cooler in red so it matches my head unit and phone charger. The red looks cool too (ricey I know). I'm pretty sure your ac control lights are burnt out too.

I'm wanting to avoid installing a head unit, especially with how the factory radio is designed, it'll feel redundant to have two radios in the car. I have an aux and Bluetooth adapter installed just so I wouldn't have to listen to CDs all the time. It gets annoying to turn the map light on just to check the time.

I'm not going to put any special effort in proving this is my car, just to have it added to the collage; if you guys want to add one of my pics to it, that's fine.

It's a 2005 Honda Accord LX

>>

Lol yea realized it when I sea you posted the exact same thing. My page didn't reload yet when I posted it... What did you do besides the wheels/tires and lowering the front? How did you lower it by the way and why not lower the back the same time? Also why don't you want to join the collage?

>>15368760
Lol I've been here m8. I just don't remember every single thing posted in the /hg/ threads. I bet you don't even know which car I own.
>>
>>15368760
I remember you had a CB Accord that died. How's the paper delivery pay compared to the pizza?
>>
>>15368786
Just that so far.

I still need to lower the back however I do things one bit at a time so just incase something takes too long the car isn't off the road foe long periods of time.

Things like losing bolts, etc.

>>15368796
One of my co-workers does paper delivery as another job I think. I'm just going by the paper delivery bumper sticker on his Tacoma. I rarely talk to him because he's a shitty lazy co-worker. His hours have been cut to like five a week. Kek

>>15368800
The car didn't technically died; it had a failing water pump, I was saving up to have that, the timing belt, and head gasket replaced, but as I was saving every week, I realized I could easily put money down on a car, since my credit was good enough, so I ended up with my current car.

>>15368807
Thanks; I've gotten better with my sleep schedule, having my other job give me hours where I can leave and go home to get enough sleep for the route.

>>15368808
I have plans to leave it, but it's kind of hard finding an overnight job. I've considered quitting both jobs and do garbage collecting, but no ones hiring.

I'm not asking for proof. I believe you if you're the second owner.
Everyone's driving an originally owned car, because someone owned it originally.
There are two things you could say about the ownership that would be true:
>my father is the original owner of the car
>i'm the second owner of the car
Saying that you're the original owner of the car is both assinine and a complete fabrication. My point is, if you're able to comprehend me so far, that you tried to say you were the original owner of the car as some positive attribute, but you were lying.

Never drove it with the original engine but my last car was an auto 93 Civic with a D16Y7 and auto trans. This is much much faster than that in comparison.

It's still a fairly slow car but it's perfect for the nonstop city driving I do with little traffic. Still 30+ MPG city too, so it's not that much of a loss compared to the old 70HP engine.

They're pretty alright. Space can be an issue if you're a tallfag. I can't vouch for ride comfort due to the PO cutting the goddamn springs. Not horribly underpowered. I usually pop the sunroof cover and that gives me a few inches of headroom. Get one that's been maintained and not ebay'd the fuck out by Jose from around the way. I went the latter route because it was cheap and kind of regret it. It's got it's pros and cons, I did like my EF hatch a bit more though. It's a good solid gas saver with a huge aftermarket.

Yea I hate the stigma around Honda's. Even girls who pretend to be interested in cars hate them.

What's wrong with carbs? I mean ye, you might have to warm the car up, but big deal.

If you're not running emissions shit, no cat, It makes for a simple race car, especially with a MSD ignition system.

I know for B series, especially those that run really high lift cams a major upgrade is running ITB's. If you run ITB's, you either have to make a box around the ITB's, to get a proper MAF reading for air flow, or tune by Alpha-n.

The box is big, and is a pain in the ass, and usually more restrictive than open ITBs, so it is not commonly used. The Alpha N tuning is a pain in the ass to tune.

For those that do not know, on a fuel injected ODB1 car, they usually have 3 main sensors that tell the car how to adjust fueling. Throttle position sensor, Mass airflow sensor, and Oxygen sensor.

Mass airflow sensor detects air density, and pressure, This eliminates the process of having to adjust your carb in the mountains etc, where air density would be affected. It mainly measure pressure.

TPS controls throttle position, so when you hit the throttle, the car can anticipate that the engine needs more fueling, and is more responsive.

The Oxygen sensor is a checksum, against both of those systems to guarantee they're working correctly

Alpha n tuning, is tuning only by O2 sensor, and TPS. Meaning air density isn't applied. So day by, giving whether it's raining or not, it can change. Pretty much, you have to tell the computer, I know the engine consumes X amount of air, at Y RPM under Z throttle, so give it N fuel.

While with a MAF, it can sense how much air is going in the car, and knows based on pressure, and pipe width, how much air that actually is.

So Alpha N, is a bitch to tune. If you run a race car, and are willing to adjust your tune, based on barometric pressure every single time you drive it, sure it's for you. I'm not saying it's no viable, I'm just saying, it's high maintenance.

EFI allows you to set exactly what you want at what RPM, instead of carbs which are restrictive and not as reliable.

On the other hand, I've seen many people on hondas use old motorcycle itbs. I think particularly off yamahas. Bikes wreck all the time, so ITBS, that only need a adapter plate(Doubles as runner length tuning)

They're lower maintenance, than Alpha n tuning, but higher than standard fuel injection with a MAF. with a carb it'd also be easier to adjust tunes, on the weather for the day, as it's just the mixture screw(1/4 turn across all 4 etc) or even jetting for that matter.

Especially when you consider that, you could also use a carb in conjunction with modern tech. Like a oxygen sensor to monitor your fueling etc.

I can definitely see the plus sides of using 4 bike carbs, rather than trying to rig ITBs to work.

got it
time to put carbs on my b18b1
and get as many b18c stuff on it as i can
thats how engine builds work right

anyone have source stuff so i can get a rough idea of things i can do with the b18b1 going down vtec path

First things first. The advice above is sound, it's top level shit. Unless you've fucked with carbs before, understand the differences between carbs, and EFI.

Not to mention, the power you'll make from putting ITB's on your b series, won't happen until you build the bottom end, balance it, and put after market cams, that are even bigger than the B18c.

Yeah I want to use the b18b1 as my first serious engine build but I don't know where to start.
I like off the wall stuff like using carbs and making weird amalgamation engines.

Wish I was smarter

How much would it cost to have a bodyshop delete sunroof from an integra? Am i better off trying to find an integra rs then upgrade engine and shit?

$1k at most. Depends on the shop.
Nah just stick to your teggy fag especially if the body is clean. You can always swap motors too.

I have no integra so it would seem i'm better off getting a gsr and taking to shop to weld a panel or some shit huh
