Honestly, look at this picture, I have maybe 10mm of clearance before the pegs scrape. I have to lean off of the bike to compensate for it. It drives me crazy as if you're on a road with weird camber, it really fucks you over.

I believe you having ridden a CBR500R and thought the stock peg situation was just sad (the hero blobs it comes make the lean angle cruiser-tier but the pegs are huge abominations of poor quality metal and gratuitous amounts of pointless rubber anyway, I would consider rearsets a necessity on a CBR500R but a luxury on say my SV, only if you're a silly bastard like me will you end out scraping pegs on the SV outside of a track day while I think it's an eventuality for any CBR500R owner, beginner or otherwise)

Yeah they're actually a good inch below the rear axle, it really does suck. You can get adjustable pegs which might remedy the situation. It doesn't help that the rider pegs are so stupidly thick too, I might try swapping the pillion and rider pegs over if they're a straight swap. Failing that, the pillion pegs on the Grom are actually pretty nice, I could take the ones from that.

What should I do? The compression seems pretty good. If the plug is clean it starts on the 1st kick and has good power. I'm considering pulling it apart and replacing the rings, maybe get a new sleeve and piston.

As much as I like tinkering, I don't have a garage to work in (and rent-a-garage is £££) and I'd rather spend more up-front to have something in good condition than buy a cheap clunker and spend the same bringing it up to scratch. Day two of rear wheel alignment. I'm losing daylight guys. My rear wheel looks like it's in alignment on the string test. 10mm on each side, touching the front edge of the rear wheel. But it's not spinning freely. I get about a quarter to half a turn when I spin it.

A few years ago the engine was overhauled. Got new crankshaft, piston road, piston, modified the cylinder head, honed the cylinder etc.
Well they did do a good job only that the guy who installed the piston obviously installed the wrong one. it was 3 numbers to big. The cylinder is after honing type C and piston was a fucking type F. SRSLY a fucking type F.
Engine ran about 25km before shitting itself.

I guess you're from Europe, so no. I bought mine from a regular tyre shop online. There are 4 different brands with different road/offroad profiles.Around 130-150€ for the front and rear tyre.
There's also TW125.com, which sells lots of parts, the owner of the shop also knows the bike pretty good, they also have a german speaking forum.

New helmet bought. They had none of the urban camouflaged ones on the shelves and these "older" models from a previous shipment were selling for dirt cheap, like almost 100€ cheaper.

I ride a streetfighter and always wear full gear.
My gear is a mishmash of everything, the only common thing they all have is that they are mostly black with some red accents.
Always bought my stuff keeping an eye on protection and how they fit, so I probably look like ass and vomit when wearing it all.
Guys I went full spastic mode and purchased a bike from a fair bit away, and had it delivered, wasn't able to get there in person as my foots swollen from work injury.
Bike was delivered earlier and I've had a look over it and found lots of issues with it that the seller never mentioned, was from a bike shop, not a private sale, was advertised as fantastic condition all around etc ... when it arrived, i've noticed scuffs in the bodywork in multiple places, crash bungs have clearly seen use, the exhause has a plate on it clearly stating its not road legal, the tires are nearly bald, and the front fork seals are leaking oil fairly well.
UK fag, have I fucked up or is there a way I can get this returned and get my money back because it certainly isn't "fantastic condition" all around and none of the issues with it were mentioned at all.
Feel like I fucked up by rushing, but also feel like they've been a bunch of lying cunts too, please please tell me there is a way to get this undone!
