Is restricting a motorcycle power harmful to it?
Im considering getting an A2 (European) license that allows me to drive 35kW / 48 HP motorcycles, then buying Honda CB500 (the old one) and some restriction kits found on ebay, they look like small metal plates with holes you put on gaskets.
Then after some years i can pay only a little more to get an A license that allows me to drive anything, removing the restrictor, selling CB500 after some time for something bigger.

Problem is that I have been to school for 8 years to get my German equivalent to a high school degree, and I feel like this would be kind of wasted if I didn't go to university now. The extra two and a half years added by the apprenticeship and thus the shit pay, and the 3 or 4 years of uni afterwards would probably also cut a big hole into my already weak finances.

So it's hot as blazes out today but I wanna go for a ride around town to pick up some fast food and ride my bike. I could wear heavy jeans, waterproof motorcycle boots without any ventilation, waterproof gloves without any ventilation, and my mesh armored jacket, but then I'd be very uncomfortable and miserably hot especially at stop lights and at my destination.
So /dbt/, could I just wear my mesh armored jacket, cargo shorts, running shoes, and Mechanix M-pact shooting gloves? I'd be much more comfortable and still wearing torso/back/shoulder armor from my jacket, but my knees would be unprotected.
