Here are the mistakes of last meet in one simple post.
First: People. Originally we planned on having at least a dozen or so people. MR2 anon, Pepsifag, some other trip I can't remember, and some anons. MR2 flaked hard and the other trip had a blown engine in his car. Some anons then flaked because of this, assuming meet was done. We also had some trolls, so the number was grossly overestimate. Still a decent amount showed up, with 6 people, but not nearly close to the dozen who said were going to come or debating.
Second: Location. Having the meet in Miami was a bit of a problem in itself, since when the pan was launched, there are a lot of anons all over the place. Having it in Central ruled out all Northern fags and almost all Central fags (Myself being one of two that went). If it was more centralized in, say, Orlando or Tampa, it would most likely have been more popular, and could have been much better.
Third: Activities. This one is Key. Since it was kinda thrown together, there wasn't much planned to do. We went to lunch, hung out for a while, played some arcade games, and generally talked with each other about cars. Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't sound too exciting either. If we planned a meet near an event, or made an event like drift competition or race on this strip, it would have been much better.
Fourth, and lastly, meeting in general. Let's be honest, do you REALLY want to meet people from 4chan? Sure most are cool, but there are quite a few that ruin everything for everyone else. Thankfully, there was no one like that at the last meet, but the possibility is there, which drives people away from wanting to meet in the first place.
That's it. Follow these guidelines and you're sure to have a good meet.

Now, trips aside, I wouldn't recommend doing *just* racing on it. For one, that might attract the attention of the country bumpkin law. Other people might be put off by doing actual racing as opposed to a group run. If you want to race, I'd say do it after a group drive so people don't feel obligated to race.

Another good tip is the Zello app. It's free in the GooglePlay and Appstores. It essentially lets you use your smartphone as a walkie-talkie. We've found it lets us coordinate as a pack, and that would probably be nigh-impossible without it.

Literally 10x10 miles of the roads for a huge housing community in the 70s that they stopped building. So think tall grass and paved abandoned neighbor hoods.

When I was in flight school at FIT we used it for ground reference maneuvers. It was neat to fly low and see some drift kiddie spinning off into the bushes. I never could find the entrance to the place but I was only up there for a year.
Orlandofag here, I just thought of a couple things:
1)Depending on the time, there's an event area at my apartment complex I think I could reserve, if we have times set. Pros for that: could have a private, air-conditioned room, there's a pool, grills
Cons: Big speedbumps on the way in, I don't think we can reserve the pool itself, just the poolhouse so we may have to be appropriate for kiddies, may attract neighborhood stancefags, may or may not all be able to park together depending on how many of us there are
2)The other idea I had would involve just using a park's parking lot. I'll drive around this afternoon and get an idea of the size of some parking lots at those.
Pros: Nobody would give a fuck that we're hanging out at a park, free, no obligation to hang out in the same area as other people
Cons: No AC if it's miserably hot, potentially limited food prep potential,
3) I know Boardwalk Bowl doesn't care that car people congregate in their parking lot.
Pros: We could also bowl a few games if you guys wanted, get a break from the heat if the day is awful, also near plenty of restaurants if people want to grab lunch/dinner out instead of cooking
Cons: no food prep, bowling alley may be busy (but I bet we could reserve a lane or two), potentialy difficulty parking together (but unlikely, it's a big lot)

I am not gonna complain about Orlando being the meet location, its better than Miami.
The few things that I can think of in Miami is drag racing at Homestead speed way, cruising South Beach, play Initial D at Arcade Odyssey, play Wangan Midnight at Bird Bowl.
Orlando anons can probably suggest more cool things to do that are not even major tourist attractions.

Seeing that the strawpoll has a 7 votes for the park and there are only 10 people on the titanpad, I think it's safe to say the park is the plan for the initial meet-up.
