What can /o/ tell me about the Volvo c30?
Looking into getting a new commuter car/DD and these seem like theyd be comfy and fun to drive around in.
Would 15k be good enough to let me find one i like?

I own one, great daily. Pre-facelift version looks better in my opinion. Boot space is a bit limited. The 5 cylinder is the only engine available In the states I believe.

Volvo automatics back then were shit. Get a manual.
It's the smallest, lightest Volvo offered with a turbo 5 cilinder. They're down on interior space. They look pretty good.
Get one in Arctic White, with a manual T5. If you're desperate about practicality or not having FWD, the slightly smaller S40 is a good bet. It's both bigger, and offers AWD.

I have one, a '07 Momentum with the 2.0L diesel engine and the R design bodykit.
It's basically a glorified Focus, but fuck me if they didn't make an amazing job at making the interior comfy.
Luggage space is trash, even more so because of the weird hatch that is a lot smaller than the trunk itself, you can fit those two tanks you were talking about, but not much else.
Ride is comfy and silent, great fuel economy, great for long trips (if only it had the luggage space), don't push it too hard because it's an understeer fest.
My model year is worth a little less than 6k euros, your budget seems a bit high if you are not aiming for the very late models.
No major problems so far.

I'm not near my car at the moment and it's night anyway, but you can find plenty on google.
The dash is identical to the one found on V50s and S40s of the same period if you ever sat in one, seats are kinda different, above average legroom for the rear seats IMO and two seats with armrest at the rear instead of a bench.

Yes it's collapsible of course, but being two separate seats it's a 50/50.
