The number 5 Toyota was leading the race with a comfortable margin back to the number 2 Porsche. The number 6 Toyota had third place locked as the audis were like thirteen laps behind.
When the number 5 died Porsche was able to overtake it on the track, and because the Toyota was then unable to compete a cooldown lap it wasn't even classified and ended up finishing in 45th position.
So the official results are Porsche 1, the other Toyota 2, and Audi 3, despite being many laps behind the battle for the podium.

The #5 Toyota was not classified. It was placed at the top of the not classified lists due to it completing more laps then other cars who were also not classified. Even if it was classified, it would not have won, as the #2 car passed it within the 24 hours.

Finish the race is defined as finishing your last lap in six minutes.
The Toyota failed to finish the race. 3rd or 4th placed cars being a dozen laps down is not unusual in a 24 hour race.
