I own this 90's shitbike and some PO broke off the left side mirror off the light controls assembly and """"repaired"""" it with JB weld. It snapped off when I adjusted it. The threading on the assembly is ruined.
I was thinking using like a conduit strap/clamp and securing the mirror through the boltholes with a nut. I'm pretty sure this will vibrate loose around the handlebar axis nomatter how much electrical tape I use.
Any ideas? My friend says to ask a shop to tack weld a nut to the handlebars but I feel like no reputable shop will help me jury rig something or they'd charge like, $60 and I might as well order a replacement switch assembly.
Any ideas? Maybe plumbing clamps? It's a metric bike so no kinda construction hardware will be a perfect fit.
