A P-twin like a Ninja 250 will do much better than say an 80's Yamaha enduro.
250cc are 'okay' around sea level, at moderate highway speeds, 65-75mph for short distances.
Like, it depends on the bike. A peaky engine like a Ninja will work better than a torquey engine like a Honda Rebel or something for high speeds.

Whats /dbt/'s opinion on the Harley Street Rods? Ive had 3 bikes so far (ninja 250, kx450f supermoto conversion, and a zx6r). unless you can try before you buy i wouldn't fork out the cash on a 'universal' pipe.
to install a slip on it normally just takes a couple mounting bolt and a clamp on the header. if the original clamp doesn't fit you can buy one from your local pirtek store. worst case scenario you have to undo the header bolts and move it so everything lines up then retighten.
the power increase won't be substantial enough to justify the money if you're getting your fulls in a few months. but it will increase buyer interest so it's up to you.
check if it needs to be retuned after install. you wont see any increase in performance if it requires a retune.

I still dislike Suzuki even though I love my DRZ and owned and recommend the SV650 all the time, was just programmed that way as a kid. Kawasaki really is the least interesting jap brand though, Their bikes are all pretty standard market competitors and rely on having a better spec sheet.
I don't think the KSR is available in the US. Looks pretty interchangeable with the Z125 though so can probably get dat sexy fender bolted on.
