The only problem I kept having was clutch cables snapping on me at the most inopportune times. Pro: they were cheap off rockauto. Con: They are a BITCH to get on and off under the steering column/dash.
That said, I loved mine. Parts were cheap, the engine bay is stupidly spacious and everything's easily accessible. Gas milage was impeccable. Road noise was hideous lol. I got mine for $400 cash, wound up selling it to some pick-yer-part guy for $300.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Tiny wheelbarrow tires, squishy af suspension, fucking cable-engaged clutch lol. It was dinky and repelled women, but it was the most pure, unadulterated driving I ever had.
