You never get out of 4th gear in traffic, which contributes to the chugging of gasoline.

>>
>>15053583
Yeah well you don't have 4 rich burning carbs sat on a 1.1 liter 4 banger.
Part of the problem is you shouldn't be hitting 5th gear until 60-75 mph. Overdrive is at least 90.
This means if you're going by the speed limit you're stuck in 4th gear which also cooks the engine.

That said, the bike will haul ass immediately.

That's exactly what i do, but lower gears burn more gas, furthermore the engine is more likely to overheat in a lower gear.

The pickup driver committed attempted vehicular homicide. He started a physical altercation with the rider. The guy who headbutted him was protecting his friend who someone just tried to murder.

You're a total retard for thinking theres any double standard here. Motorists who start fights on the street belong in jail. You do not have the right to run people off the road. You do not have the right to use your vehicle to block traffic because you feel like it. You do not have the right to put your hands on someone because you're angry. Go get paralyzed in a wreck.

31100MF5004 should be the flywheel and stator plate
31120MF5004 is just the stator plate
30510ME9013 is ignition coil (but at over 100 bux each you'd be an idiot to use genuine ones)

honda generally go together like lego but i ain't guaranteeing it.

You need a license and insurance to ride off. Full coverage required, is a fucking rip off. You'd likely pay more for insurance than the bike.

Probably not but depends on store.

>>15054563
Legally, there is the double standard there. Realistically, the bike will always lose against a cage of course. Even if the bike caused the accident, the outcome is much brighter for the car guys.

The redneck in the truck demonstrated clear hostile intent when he tried to kill the one biker, then got in his face afterwards. I think his friend had the right to headbutt him. As for this guy, if he did cause the accident he'll contest it in court, but those cagers are definitely getting assault charges. Inappropriate (and illegal) to lay hands on someone that didn't show hostile intent.

Depends on the style but largely on maintenance. For example, it's risky to invest in a supersport with over 20,000mi just knowing that it's likely been put through the ringer and then some by some squid who neglected it. Touring/sport-touring bikes on the other hand are largely owned by older riders, and being heavier, likely never seen as harsh of abuse. For most modern bikes, it largely boils down to maintenance for longevity. For a 1300 Concurs, it's at least got another 50,000mi left I'd imagine.

I bought a GV650 in December 2011. For the first 6 months it had a few little things (Fuel Injection light, surface rust appearing) but after that it earned its place as the worst vehicle I've ever owned.

I had 16 faults over a 12 month period, all of which required warranty replacement followed by 7 breakdowns due to the charging system. The towing involved in returning the vehicle to the dealership (Team Moto – Springwood) were not covered. As was two batteries which were deemed as consumables and did not fix the problem.

When I confronted Hyosung Australia they effectively told me to bugger off as I had no business relationship with them and to take it up with the dealership. 4 months of fighting them through the office of fair trading and I finally got rid of the thing (at a considerable financial loss).

Check out some of my vlogs at youtube.com/tontsekz/ – I documented all of the problems and progress with the whole legal dispute.

Stay away from Hyosung and stay away from Team Moto.

Some bikes have a more finnicky neutral than others. My VTX1300 is easy as fuck to find neutral both by the half-shift and just the feel of the lever, but my Vulcan500 I had previously required something like a 1/6th downshift to find neutral from second and just generally was an arse about it; it did have a neutral finder if upshifting from first while stopped though which was convenient.
