But compare a cbr1000rr to an S1000RR, we have cruise control, heated grips,electronically adjustable suspension that reacts to the road and advanced TC, those are all things that make an everyday difference in the life of a motorcyclist too.

Anon who crashed on Sunday here. The pain has well and truly set in on my ankle and shoulder. Everyone keeps telling me to go to hospital but if I get signed off work I am in deep shit. Rode the sportbike to work yesterday, was hard turning and I couldn't use my rear brake at all. Need to buy a new jacket as mine was fucked to pieces in the crash. Recommendations? My old jacket was a Wolf Leather jacket, had a tiny tag with 46 on it and two zips, tight and loose fit. Fitted me pretty well on the tight setting and could be worn over a hoodie on the loose setting.

I have no doubt you could take either bike and ride it a thousand miles, but they're not something you desire.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a 300cc, ~40hp sportsbike for a while now and the only option I have here is the CBR500R. Not even something I'd consider remotely.
I think they're fine if you're getting an used bike -- some legacy models like the older CBRs, VFRs and VTRs have a lot of appeal for me, but the new stuff is just completely undesirable.

The important part is to understand how changing the different values affects the image. Take lots of pics and keep experimenting and you'll get better results. Also, shoot RAW (not sure if GoPro does that but a camera should).

It amazes me people do this. A valve clearance check is what 200 bucks? And an adjustment is an extra 100 depending on the bike. You could tack 300 bucks to the selling price with that receipt. My recommended oil interval is 3000km which I consider too short to bother with full synth, I put a locally branded semi-synthetic we have over here. So far so good.
On my water cooled bike I used 5W40 TDI oil teheheh.
Most oil debates are inconclusive at best and a shitfest at worst, do whatever you want anon. Just avoid the gas saving oils and such as you probably already read elsewhere.
