You need to loosen the 7mm top bolt for the alternator before you put it on. Alternator acts as a tensioner. Can't set the tension before the belt is on.

Adjust the carburetor until you can keep it running by blipping the throttle linakge, then while it's running adjust the valves until they stock ticking.

Put the timing cover on (make sure oil pan is off first or it wont go on), bolt water pully to water pump and then bolt both of them to the timing cover.

Line the engine hoist bolts up roughly inline with the cylinder head, if listen closely you should hear a 'clink' in the right spot, then screw hoist bolts in and it should attach.

I've got the same problem with this dude. It started a couple times and I got about 2 feet before it died and won't start. I don't have an exhaust pipe on because I don't know where I'm supposed to attach it and I haven't touched the valve adjusters or carb. Do I need to mess with the carb or valves?

Ignition on left side, f to put it in first, v to put it in reverse. It's manual. Make sure you've right clicked on the handbrake to release it. Van doesn't seem to take damage so hoon it to your hearts content

I've only ran the car, after bodging it together, so I wouldn't rely on this 100%, but it takes ages to start cold, just like muh classic mechanical ignition should.
Also: Can you change which wheels are driven on the car? The construction system seems built that way.
