Ok guys, how's that make you feel ?
does a bike clutch operate like a car clutch?
i know it's multi-plate, but will i grind a throwout bearing if i keep it in gear at redlights
Oh, we're back? Been messing around in photoshop for the last 30 minutes trying to get this looking right. Ended up just googling an image and using some layering to get the end look. This is the look I'm feeling like going for with the ZX-11, opinions?
It's comet/meteor space theme. Feel like the bottom side needs something and it's too blank just being black, but can't think of anything to put there.
>>14997465
>1 pound lighter than a Superleggera
A bit disappointed desu.
>>14997465
They seem ashamed of the fact it has a single sided swingarm, they won't show the other side.
>>14997472
that's not the same chassis at all, i'm confident in the fact that they know what they're doing, bimota speciality are making cool chassis, i'm pretty sure on the track it's more efficient than a superleggera
What happens if I put in an K&N airfilter with 40% more airflow than the current filter, and change nothing else?
>>14997471
Stars done in the same airbrushy style could work.
And by that I mean that they'd start thick at the bottom and fade out half way up.
Try to make the stars not all one color either. Mostly white but with blues, reds, and yellows mixed in
>>14997471
Add a star chart design, like Kamen Rider Meteor's undersuit.
>>14997481
get more shit in your engine and that's about it.
I'm currently doing my bike license and my first driving lesson is on monday. I drove a 50ccm moped for 3 years (pic related), do you think driving a 600ccm bike is much of a difference?
>>14997492
>do you think driving a bike 12x more powerful will be much different?
>>14997492
thats not a moped ya dickhead, but they have full size 2smoke 50cc motards in your country?
>>14997454

>>14997506

>>14997492
no. it'll just weigh twice as much and you'll need to remember not to pull the throttle all the way just to go or you'll be popping a wheelie.
Chaseontwowheels10/10tire.jpg
>>14997482
Could work well. If i had a base picture to work with this would be easier. Well, I'll see what I can do tomorrow night since I'll have nothing to do at work again.
>>14997488
Seems like an interesting concept, but I'm more going for a 90's space theme. I can't make the look myself which is why I had to use stock comet images to get that. Want it in a styling that's similar to this, only instead of the meteor, it'll be my blinkers. You get what I mean, right? It's a bit jarring trying to explain it.
>>14997496
Obviously I mean handling, clutch etc.
>>14997498
They officially have to be limited to 45 km/h, and you can drive them at the age of 16. Everybody driving something like that just changes the exhaust so you can reach 90 km/h easily. Most of poorfags and teens just drive a faggy scooter anyway (Germany).
>>14997506

this is rather indicative of /dbt/ thinking, rather than engage his brain cells for 10 seconds he just goes for the quickest neuron path in his brains which is he remembers people bang on about destroying fork seals from dropping wheelies down too hard, without thinking about any other possible sources of suspension trauma an enduro bike might "endure"
such as jumps, or technical terrain.
Like come on, you think dropping a wheelie down on a dirtbike is gonna be the biggest source of fork seal abuse?

Honestly, oem's knows their shit. You'd have to tune for the extra flow(which probably isn't even as much as you think) and allow more shit into the engine.
Oem spends a lot of r&d to make sure everything all matches up
>>14997563
At the cost of reliabilty.

I've noticed the people that don't salute back usually are either A) Cruiser riders, B) Squids or lacking general gear, or C) a combo.
Also don't take it too offensively if they don't wave. There will sometimes be a head bob or slight nod that you can miss. Usually happens when someone has their clutch in

Nodding can be hard to see.keep doing what is standard practice in your country.
>>14997688
Im guessing it means people who only ride on hot days and they squid it
>>14997688
They ride exclusively in appreciable conditions and the primary concern is just to look cool. They like Harley's and Ducatis because these are the only bikes women have heard of and there's a large squid overlap.
>>14997700
yes they are bent anon, they are supposed to be straight, if they bend too far they start catching the chain and break teeth off or break a link in the chain.
>>14997688
Yes, as soon it's super nice out they ride. They can't into layers and ride during all weather conditions. Full pleb. Usually they're Harleyfags and squids.
>>14997693
Just mount it the other way
>>14997688
wouldn't it be like the opposite, fair weather riders would be out waving to everyone because

>>14997710
don't they actually wear to the wave shape? not bend.
>>14997529
You know I was about to post and bitch people don't know the difference between chicken straps and dirt on the tires, but then I zoomed in real close on his tire and Jesus Christ there is a fuck load of unused tire there.
>>14997723
they wear down, then once they are worn enough they start to bend, you wouldnt be able to bend the teeth on a new sprocket
>>14997718
>I see bikes while I'm out riding every fucking day I don't care, it's just other motorcyclists.
Same here, but a few are bro's and if we come across each other it turns into the city commute who can filter the fastest and ride like a douche challenge.
I still don't know who they are or what they look like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI2I8iIJsYg
>>14997726
it's actually hilarious how closely it hugs the line where the tread ends to give you that sporty edge grip where you need it.
Like he bought these tyres with that function, they become slicks after a certain lean angle, and the point he wore it down to is RIGHT on the edge of that.
It's fucking hilarious, what in the fuck did you buy these tyres for? Just buy some sport touring tyres, get 2x the mileage
>>14997729
I see someone on a very loud Honda, I think a CBR-600, and always let senpai past while filtering because cars shifting to let him out of the way before he breaks their windows means I can sneak my 125 in behind.
are carbs a meme?
are they worth it if I just want to buy a bike to ride and to do silly shit on, so i can do backfires?
they are more easy to tune, right?
So I think I'll be in the market for a used SV 650 N or S in a couple of months, and I know it's quite a popular bike on here, so my question to all of you:
Should i get the pre 2003 version with carburetors or the one after 2003 with fuel injection? I have a carbed bike right now, and I'm quite unsure if EFI is worth the money.
>>14997750
>is it worth having a carb just to do keybangs
what do you think anon?
>>14997750
>over 100k kilometers
>never cleaned carb
>>14997760
if you already have experience with the maintenance and tune ups you can / have to do on carbs, why shouldn't you not go for one with carbs?
>>14997750
>they are more easy to tune, right?
No, plugging my laptop into my power commander and tuning is heaps easier and I don't have to pull shit apart to change the fuel rate
Carbs are only good for keybanging.
plug the carbs are cheap meme needs to die
>carb kit $48
>new injector $18

>not bazzaz
Carbs suck. If you plan on doing any longer riding fuck carbs.
>>14997765
Well, that's the thing: I don't have any practical experience with the maintenance of actual motorcycle carbs, just with fixing up Chinese scooter carbs due to my work place. My current bike has dual mikuni carbs and the most fucked up intake manifold ever, so I've never bothered (and never had to) tinker with that
>>14997786
Let's ride together, I'm gonna hoon labrador streets tomorrow.
>>14997650
Your your damn custom fairing back on for fuck sake.

>>14997797

>>14997801
Riding a bike during winter here is illegal. Need winter tires.
>>14997806
>Riding a bike during winter here is illegal
>>14997797
I ride every day, would probably continue to do so if I had a car as well but honestly have no interest in a car outside of transporting motorcycles, If I wanted to avoid rain to commute as it is I could just take the train but I don't because I like riding.
WITH THAT BEING SAID
I don't see the hatred toward fair weather riders, once again it seems like another way for people to add perceived credibility to their riding whilst being completely unexceptional, tyres are good now, riding in the rain isn't hard, it's just often a little uncomfortable and annoying.
People often talk about how people are pussies for not riding in the rain and blah blah blah as though riding in the rain is some kind of fucking achievement, you just slow down a bit and get wet, big fucking woop, these people act like they just armwrestled jesus and won when they talk about riding in the rain.
You think mick doohan is out going riding in the rain these days? Are you better because you do?
>>14997718
Not all riders in nice weather are fair weather faggots.
You might meet up with them down the road elsewhere and have a good convo or even get a new riding bro.

He didn't post it - that was me: >>14998012 >>14997919
And yes, it is. Well, it depends on what city you're in. Delhi is particularly bad because there aren't many wastebins available. A lot of street food carts and stalls will just have one tiny trash can, and after it fills up, people will just toss their plates on the ground.
That pic was taken in front of an egg/chai/omelette stand.

I learned how to ride there. Had an absolute blast, to be honest. Half the reason I ever wanted to learn was because folks are always riding bikes in Hindi movies. I felt on top of the world once I got good enough to lane split and keep up with and on top of Delhi traffic.
First and second long-distance-ish rides were nightmares, though. Took the wrong bridge from Noida back into Delhi with an ass-ton of truck and car traffic. Had to pull over and have a smoke because I was afraid I'd die. Pic related. Think it was the bridge into Okhla.
>>14998048
>Those streets
Hey, at least you'll learn how to keep yourself upright in shitty traction conditions.
>>14998055
A 160? That's a damn shame. I enjoy my 1000 quite a bit and it handles nicely. And the rims came with the bike when I bought it, oddly enough, but I like them as well
So after not cleaning my chain for over 20000km this is how dirty the sprocket was. I just lube it every second tank.
>>14998082
Teeth are hooked. Should be replaced soonish.
>>14998069
Pretty sure that's somewhere near Karol Bagh. Which helmet did you mount your GoPro on?
>>14998086
Well that's why it's off the bike, anon.
>>14998082
That's really not too dirty, but it is worn badly.
>>14998079
I love driving in Indian traffic. Obviously I'm happy, in some respects, that it's not as chaotic here, but you really feel like you're accomplishing something when you're forced to buzz between two semi-trucks, dodge a bicycle, and then swerve around a bullock cart.
>>14998089
That's nowhere near Karol Bagh. It's somewhere along N-24 going into Delhi. Either it's the crossover on the Yamuna or a bit before that, in Ghaziabad. I have friends in Shipra and Indirapuram, so I went that way and back a lot.

>>14998098
My mistake, but was a guess nonetheless. I had numerous horrific experiences when riding through Ghaziabad. Its hazy all the year round, the truck drivers will make you piss your pants, and road rage usually ends in a pistol brandishing scene a la spaghetti westerns. My SOL Unicorn helmet had its visor rendered useless because of the low visibility.
>>14998075
Isn't it called the Yamaha Byson there? Bajaj bikes are pretty low on the reliability factor, they show their true colors after 3-4 years of ownership.
>>14998024
I am a broke as fuck college student. So can't really afford a litre class bike. My other bike is a KTM Duke 390, but its uncomfortable in the city due to engine heating issues. The moment I land a good job, I'll end up buying the CBR650F straight away. That bike is practical to the T.

>>14998181
I haven't really rode around or even visited the central parts of Ghaziabad. I've just spent a lot of time around Indirapuram, Shakhti Kand, and Shipra Sun City.
I didn't think driving in those parts was bad. The same goes for Noida, when I was staying there. Lots of congestion and typically bad Indian drivers, but it was easy enough to weave through traffic on a bike.

I was actually skeptical at first but they're higher than almost all other "riding shoes" out there. They protect your ankle admirably, just not your shin. I'd know, I've crashed twice with them and they took hits both times with no damage to my feet or ankles. As good as a high boot? Unlikely, but much more comfortable, pretty water resistant and you can actually walk in them which was important for me.

Pretty good. I bought it on the back of it's SHARP rating and flip front, though I rarely used it except to make putting the helmet on easier. I don't think the venting is great but you can always crack the visor open a bit. Comes with pinlock so never had any trouble with fogging. The peak is nice for keeping sun out of your eyes sometimes and just as something to pick the helmet up by. Internal sun visor is okay although it will fog up if you're not moving and have your face shield fully closed.
